This is my sister and I have wanted to do a manip with this stock photo since we took them last year, and yesterday all of a sudden this popped in to my mind after reading an article about freedom.
Freedom of ones life and thoughts, free will and freedom in both religious and political views, a right to be free..
Are you free?
Dedicated to all those who dream of freedom, and who are in one way or another imprisioned, may freedom come your way soon

I'm completely in love with the feeling you created in this work. Yes, there is a feeling of freedom, perhaps something we always long for as there are always some things in life that might constrict or even imprison us.
Another thing I love about this piece is the way you re-painted the model's robes. It's done magnificently, I can almost feel the blowing wind.
But what I like the most is the way you put together the model, water and red carpet. I've been looking at it with amazement for a while and wondering if it was already taken together as a photo or put together later... if put together it's done so impeccably, that it might as well be a part of a photo
Rest of this work consists of a beautifully chosen, soft colours and proper lighting. I can't see any flaws.
Overall, wonderfull and inspiring work, keep it up!

Well on Freedom just my Thoughts
since you mention it
Sadly freedom is well under attack and not only from without but also from within by paranoia and fear, in most all countries that value it and hold it dear
Freedom is a wonderful collective idea.. and all of us should hold Freedom close to our hearts and not allow it to be tarnished or abused in anyway by anybody including our own governments for any reason!
A high price in blood & loss of loved ones has been paid to keep us free by many nations
and that high price we must honor by keeping freedom alive and well for all the people of the World
America now has become the custodian of the tree Freedom in so many ways
but some of Freedoms preceding more modern roots can be found in the UK and other deeper roots in antiquity
Freedom branches has touched many parts of the world but still not enough and some smaller branches sadly have withered and died through fear & paranoia etc
but mostly freedom is in-tacked and we all need to make sure it stays that way
The many many diverse forms freedom comes in for the many many facets that make up our society
To me
Freedom begins with you and I and our attitudes towards others
respect of each other without prejudice or fear etc regardless of their point of view being the same as ours or not and it is a mutual respect we must all have of each other
again to me if you haven't found that
you haven't found freedom yet
This is truly beautiful art to a truly beautiful Idea that represents all of humanity at its highest level of thought kindness love & respect within the values of true "Freedom"

I love hearing other peoples thoughts about such fundemantal things in life, and I'm happy my art awoke such a philosophic comment my friend 
Even I feel that even though I consider myself free in certain aspects of my life, i still have other sides where i feel that freedom is yet to be fully lived and embraced.

and yeah when I look at a lot of places in the world around us and even within our society..freedom is a very precious thing and we need to really realize that,
we have perhaps because we enjoy it become a little complacent with it..
So we need to revalue it in our lives & hearts
yes sadly there isn't enough real respect for people of each other these days...and worse is its getting worse..more and more a dog eat dog world
but its reassuring to know that there are people like you that do value that and treat others with respect..
so you give me a little more hope for the world dear Cathrine and thats saying a lot

I can only agree with you, the world would be such a nicer place if we could all live in freedom and show respect and kindness to each other, value lives for what they are; living souls, instead of hating and trading descency and doing the right things for comfort and rightousness and judgments 
But then one does come across very kind and respectful people and it feels like there is hope. 
And there is a lot of those people in dA, you included

yep its sad ..I think most human being are this
but collectively we just can't seem to get it together..
Thats the sad thing...
but hope there is always that and in ways I think thing are changing but too slowly for the world as a whole..sadly I think our greeds are destroying this planet and us faster then our caring can grow and fix it people are becoming more dog eat dog so hope to me is small but its there none the less and thats what keeps us going is the hope it will turn around,
but not till we collectively want it to will it happen
so the more that shout from soap boxes the better in my book
but one thing we must protect is freedom cause if we dont
its not going to be a pretty for any of us..

I love the idea of the underwater steps, as well as the golds and reds of the entire piece. The colors of the sky add to the feeling of "hope." Great composition.
