Description Tweek is a male Great Horned Owl who is an educational ambassador for the Orange County Bird of Prey Center, he was pushed or fell from the nest as a baby and landed on his head, this caused severe brain damage that almost killed him. He managed to pull through and is now an amazing ambassador. He now spends his days educating the public on his species and what they can do to avoid damaging wildlife!

I'm really glad he's pulled through everything and become the amazing bird he is today. I wish he could be in the wild, but with his injuries it's amazing he's even alive. He's amazing though!

I can understand that.Β  We are so careless, we humans.Β  We think we have a natural right to encroach upon the land because we are "thinking" creatures.Β  These people that live up in wild areas and end up with bears in their swimming pools are crazy, in my opinion!Β  People don't think things through.Β  Well, we have discussed that before too.Β Β

In my opinion, the way to living alongside wildlife is to actually learn about them and understand them as opposed to living in blind fear. Even people with pets need to learn more about the animals they live with. We often forget the disconnect between species and forget that a cat is going to scratch things, and a dog is going to growl. We also tend to forget that things like coyotes and raccoons were here before we built our houses. So instead of over correcting for the wrong problem, if we learn about the animals around us then we can more easily tolerate them.

You are correct.Β  An informed person is smarter and certainly safer and less of a threat because they aren't going to do something stupid out of a lack of knowledge.Β Β

Not necessarily sweet, he's generally reliableΒ and he's made great strives in being an ambassador. But he's still an owl and will try to get you if you annoy him!
