I'm so happy with my newest obsession
I fell in love with Final Fantasy VII since the moment I began to play the game half a year ago. Not to forget to mention Advent Children. I 
that movie.This is a scene coming from Advent Children where Cloud finds Tifa in Aeris' church. I always loved this shot. And since some people mentioned to draw either Tifa or this picture (remember, ~fatal-tragedy ?
), I thought I would give it a try. I think this drawing came out pretty nice!The title I choose is a soundtrack of Advent Children. I thought it would fit well
.Took me approx 25 to 30 hours. Cloud's hair and vest was hard to do
but fun. I only used 2H, HB, 2B and especially 3B 0.5 mechanical pencils, and of course a tissue and tortillion for blending.

denk alleen wel dat een portret echt tekenen van iemand moeilijker is dan dit, of niet? Tenminste, mijn ervaring is altijd dat (teken) film figuurtjes of dingen van een spel natekenen toch makkelijker is..
maar daardoor niet minder mooi hoor!!

Nee ik vind dit een stuk moeilijker, omdat de verhoudingen wel gelijk moesten blijven. En daarnaast is de foto in principe hetzelfde als van een echt persoon. Computer animaties zien er zo realistisch uit tegenwoordig

The weird thing is that I submitted this Vincent Valentine drawing a few weeks back as well. I didn't have such a hard time with that drawing as with this one. Still people like the Vincent one a lot

just some ways to draw human anatomy, like the noses, which're great. Also i can learn a lot just by looking closely at the lips and shadows,.. my problem is drawing people..

Alright I see. Yeah well I agree about drawing the anatomy of people. To be honest, I really suck at drawing anatomy if I don't use references 
By the way, I will be putting up a tutorial soon, so maybe that will help you a little more?

Anime sure is art. It's weird your teacher says such things.
I think anything that is created with a lot of effort and practicing is art, no matter what it looks like: sculptures, paintings, drawings, clothes, pictures and even dinner. I guess your teacher has his/her own way of interpreting art, and that's ok. I think we all do

LoL yeah I can imagine. I once had a friend who always said things like 'well that's a pretty drawing, but why did you draw this part' or 'why did you color that' or 'that's quite ugly'. It's called jealousy, just think about that. I'm not sure how talented your teacher is, but you shouldn't take it too serious when she says such things!
