Actually, I think it makes more sense if you read this tutorial before you'll see my next (upcoming) tutorials:
Besides, I'm looking for my muse. I lost it a week ago. I started with several drawings (actors, Kingdom Hearts...) but none of them look right.
Has anyone seen my muse anywhere? If you'll find it, you'll get a free cookie.
I used the work in progress files of my Jared Leto drawing to get this done.
I knew I could use those WIPs for something useful someday...

So you don't start out with any guidelines or anything like that? You just draw it? What happens when you put a lot of work into something and discover it doesn't fit correctly on the page?

Quite good, quite good, but I expected and wanted something a bit different when I saw the title. A tutorial that involves only traditional drawing, before digital revision. Think you can do that?

but... I only changed the contrast just a little with Photoshop, the rest was done with pencil and paper

For this drawing I didn't use erasers
But normally I use a small eraser, or a pencilshaped eraser

everytime i try to scan my sketches/drawing the graphite reflects so they don't out well at all
