Lineart I did today within a few hours. And as usual... Reference used!----this is not for the collab with *emmil because we're going to draw something else!---
And for the record, it's just a work in progress. I know there are mistakes and you definitely shouldn't go hyper on faving this because it's not done yet. Thank you. (:

Now I need your help with something, so please read this!
I'm planning to draw a background but yet I'm not exactly sure what to draw, so... what shall I do?
Do I have to add a single color background?
A detailed background perhaps?
Or add some clouds? And I don't mean friend-of-Zack Clouds, but just like... sky clouds.
Lemme know what your ideas are (:

Maybe you could have a gradient in the background like it going dark on the edges to light on the inside or just dark from one side. ^_^

oh oh, heres an idea, how about a burning city in the background, like the movie special where Zack saves cloud, you could add those style of houses, the fire could give off a blur effect, and could kinda look cool with the whole pencil thing.

Aww, poor Zach... I liked him far better than Cloud. Too bad he went all hero and got shot one too many times...
Good linear art. Can't wait to see the final product. As for a background, I aslo think another character, such as Angeal, Sephiroth, Aerith, Cissnei or Cloud would be nice. Or, maybe just a grey-ish background like they do in the postercards. Anything would be good, as I'm sure it will turn out brilliantly.

First off, woot for a pic of Zack (awesome job on the buster sword)
Second, I think that a good background (all be it somewhat extensive) would be for Zack to be looking off the cliff (the one that he dies on) looking out at Midgar, or something to that extent (maybe over Gongaga even)

It looks good! I think single colour background would be nice and simple. Or fading perhaps? You know, dark background gradually going lighter or something like that.

I love the sword and his face... just pay attention to his left hand... but I know it's just the first "sketch" and you will fix a lot of details working on it

That's looking pretty awesome so far. Love the detail of the sword hilt/blade base.
A cloudy sky sounds good for a background. But whatever you choose, I'd say keep it simple so the figure really stands out.

OMFG!!... I JUST drew that like two weeks ago... that's crazy... Do you have a PSP?... If not, you should get one just for Crisis Core... it is probably the best one in the series... The battle system is rubbish.
I highly recommend for a background... the church
Since he and Aerith are... *makes obscene hand gestures* , the church with the flower garden in the BG would be perfect for it...
