Mr H and me dressed up for one of his friend's surprise birthday parties (his parents had made him a hobbit outfit!)
It was Lord of the Rings themed and I went as Galadriel (although I really couldn't wash all the red out of my hair in time which was a shame!) and Mr H went as Legolas (although he would have made a better Aragorn but he said "Legolas is cooler" Hmm, OK...)
Someone went as Treebeard - he just wore brown clothes and smothered himself in branches and leaves, he he.

All of my costume was hired except the headdress which as you can probably tell I bent out of a bit of wire... You can't see but I have the most gorgeous antique dress on, all covered in white, gold and silver beads.
My mum and I made the green cloak (and found a leaf clasp for it in a charity shop!!) and the boot toppers for Legolas, and I think we found a shirt in a charity shop. Everything else was hired or bought from fancy dress shops.
