Some very, very old Halloween pictures (was going through old CDs a week or so ago and found lots of pics)

I was Medusa & my other half (I think this was before we got married.) went as an Evil Scarecrow.

I made the crow out of some old tights and bits of paper. I got a load of straw from our local pet show which I stuck in the hat and dungarees so it looked like he was stuffed with it!
His knife (I wanted to make some sort of scythe or weapon more fitting a scarecrow but didn't have time!) was just a kitchen knife which I photocopied onto thick paper, stuck together and put fake blood on!

The snake's heads were paper too, which I painted onto (using nail varnish if I can remember correctly!); my mother and I painted a couple of snakes twisting around my arms and body with coloured pencils and although you can't see it, I had a very slight green shimmer powder all over me (and a very long gold/green shot silk, corseted dress which I love but have worn to death...)
My sister plaited and wired all my hair up, and then when we'd fitted the snakes heads I pointed the ends of each plait into tongues with red hair gel.

What an effort I do so love Halloween, I was ill this year (2009) and only made it out during the day so had a very quick and easy outfit... Ho hum - next year!
