Description In the house of the Gods, there he was born,
the Shining Star, Shinsa - who spoke the wild

animals into creation, spoke to
the waters and made them flow; he was the

son of Saeshara, the Moon, the Night's Sple-
dor. He made the skies, made the earth on

which man stands, naming his thoughts, creating
the mountains, valleys, and caves - all for his

enjoyment. Shinsa cared not for ruling;
his world was left to the beasts who roamed the

hills in search of food, in search of water;
Shinsa then spoke the name of man, but soon

regret filled his heart, for man began to
hunt the animals and destroy his world.

He went to Saeshara and spoke of man.
"Man hunts down the animals, destroys the

world I created! Hatred fills my heart,
I must rid the lands of such horrid beasts!"

Saeshara, who is the Night's Splendor, then
spoke: "My son, you are the Shining Star. You

spoke the wild animals into creation,
you spoke to the waters and made them flow.

You made the earth, mountains, valleys, and caves.
Do not destroy man, who hunts the beasts. Shine

your light on man and teach him the wisdom
of the Gods. Speak and make man understand

his place among the animals; show him
to respect them, show him to follow in

the path of the Gods." But rage still filled Shinsa's
heart. He did not want to teach man the wis-

dom of the Gods. And so, Shinsa left his
mother, Saeshara, the Moon, the Night's Splen-

dor; he went to the earth and walked among
the wild animals and spoke fish into

the rivers and oceans. Soon, Shinsa came
upon a deer, hunted by man; the deer

had been killed and Shinsa, again, was filled
with hatred for his creation of man.

Shinsa, the Shining Star, could not contain
his anger. He flew into the sky, flying

higher and higher as his anger shone
brighter and brighter from him. Shinsa spoke

his anger in heat and began to burn
the earth, the mountains and valleys, the wild

beasts, the waters with the fish, and man.
Saeshara saw her son growing brighter

with his rage, she saw the creatures below,
crying in pain. And so, Saeshara, the

Moon, the Night's Splendor, banished her son,
Shinsa, the Shining Star - for he had spoken

his anger and could no longer create
anything but anger. Saeshara be-

came the Mother and healed the wounds and taught
man the wisdom of the Gods, taught them to

respect the beasts, and taught them to follow
in the path of the Gods.
