God... What if this is just a simulation game? We, being moved at the right click of a mouse. A more powerful version of the Sims. We walk through pixels formed to resemble their world, cry over bits put together in a program that came free from inside a cheerios box. Colors are brighter there. How do we even know green is green, or yellow, yellow; that mauve is, well... still the same color with an ugly name, pulled from a rainbow. Our lives are just a means of entertainment for a higher power. Some relationships work - we die old, huddled in the arms of our loved one, giving the audience a feeling that may draw something of the substance of tears, while other partners were put together solely for the purpose of building tension, destiny making them fight, bite, scratch then kiss as they realize they were wrong, only to have the show repeated again at 4 o’clock Friday. The audience thrives on these things. Maybe we can fix it though… Maybe when the power goes out, people bore of the plot; turn to the surgery channel for their fulfillment of blood. Maybe one day we’ll just be canceled… Who knows version 8.0 should be released soon enough.
