This simple quick-reference sheet lists 378 magic items in Dungeons & Dragons fifth edition, classified as minor or major and subdivided by rarity.

Those categories, though. “Wondrous item” might as well be “other” or “miscellaneous”—but more magic items fall into that catch-all category than all other categories put together, which is bad organization. The designers desperately need to come up with a raft of additional categories, such as “garment” or “amulet”, which would help enormously. I have thoughts.
