Week 1 Prompt 1/2 : Costumes

Time to get in spirit! Draw your team members in costume for the hootenany! (Random teams are only required to draw at least 3 of their team mates!)

It was another year of Hootenanny and the last before most of The Treatening was to grow up.
The den in which the kits all lived was decorated with decorations made by the new grove members. Food littered large tables full of new things to try such as assorted meats and sweets. The harvest festival preparations smelled great but The Treatening had business to get done. Of course the first order of business would be the candy. The group decided to make the best of memories and go trick or treating once again as a team this year. However one team mate Jack was sick with a new decadents folly blight. She decided to sit out on getting candy (for she didn’t like it anyways). Rumble did have a large group of folk with him he would be fine. The Flowers had encouraged more folk in The Treatening for safety reasons but under a bribe of candy. Runic recruited some more kits to help get more candy named Ipod and Aria. Nobody was opposed to meeting new friends for the most part (Runa had a little trouble with new folk on the team). Had Rumble known it was for safety he would have agreed with the Flowers for technically they all were without his guard Jack this year. Dangers such as blights and Cauliflower lurked in the safest grove that was home. The team met up early in the Den to have all day to get treats and prepare costumes.
Lestriding and Nexus appeared to be late to the gathering of The Treatening but nobody was worried yet for it seemed in character for those two. Runa and Runic wore matching costumes this year of a witch and wizard respectably. It was very noticeable that Runa stuck close to Runic. Runic fixed the hat on Runa’s head and Runa looked worried.
Her voice was quiet and more tired than last year.
“I don’t really want to get bitten this year.”
Aria and Ipod were deep in a conversation about candy and how much they liked each others costumes. Ipod had chosen a prisoner outfit that was a interesting choice. Aria was given a spotlight opportunity to talk about comic books and talked without end about her chosen character Spider Gwen. Had Rumble been his normal self he would have eagerly joined in on book club. Rumble couldn’t even focus on a costume this hoot and had just worn the ghost beanie he had last year. Rumble could only focus on one thing. Blights and how his two teammates had them. Since Jack had decandents folly he had poured his need for answers into blight information gathering. How they were uncontrolled without a large donated ether supply. How to recognize symptoms. What Runic , Runa and Jack were going through. The infamous Cauliflower was one of the creatures Rumble had nightmares of. Runic was trying to comfort his sister. “You’ll be ok we will stick close together.” Runa only seemed to get quieter.
It was a bit ironic that Runa was worried.
Nobody else had blights in their team.
Rumble didn’t want to get bitten by them.
The thought worried Rumble but also hurt for all his teammates were so nice to him. He didn’t wish to see the danger but Jack taught him better. “Hey Rumble wanna play tag?!”
Rumble turned to face a loud Hydran briefly startled than turned his face away the worry never leaving him. The kit was desperately attempting to distract Rumble with games. She had chosen the wrong topic. Rumble didn’t really play germed games. “I want to play tag too!” Aria tuned back into the topic of games and Ipod warmly grinned and added “Sounds fun we can pass time while waiting for Lestriding and Nexus.” Runic and Runa laid on the ground and waved to signal they weren’t playing. Rumble was germ fearful and it made him flinch back from Hydran and the pumpkin outfit that reminded him of his friends blight symptoms. He kind of didn’t like the costume but was normally more polite. Hydran was blight free but germs still existed.
“Thats a touching game.”
Hydran did look a little embarrassed but also disappointed.
“Sorry i forgot you didn’t like touch.”
Rumble stood off to the side not near anyone while Hydran , Ipod and Aria played tag.
A couple hours would pass and the team would set off to try and find Nexus and Lestriding. The two can be assumed to be found near the food. Only Treatening’s old teammates were never to be found.
It would start a wide hunt for information while the team treated.
