If you look closely in the last panel… Yes Jo was doodling in her notes. Drawing if probably one of the few hobbies I gave Joanna that’s the same as one of mine, though I’m pretty sure she’s not professional at it.

Had to get creative again with their teacher. Rose is one of the Mamens in the village that can’t walk on just two legs. So to teach her class she has to do most of it from on top of her desk, which is why the pad’s there. The Chair’s there for when either lessons over and she needs to do deskwork, or if someone more bi-peddle uses the room.
