Wonderful use of light. it makes such a great focus point. this character really beams out a lot of personality. much more than i have seen in other similar looking creatures by other artists.

There's something... disturbing about this image. Maybe the way there's the outline of an eye drawn over his bandaged socket, or how he doesn't look bothered by the wound. In any case, I really like this.
