I'll share a quick tip for better line art. It's a really simple technical change, adjusting where you hold your pen/pencil/stylus. I've also provided a very simple exercise near the end of the video that you can do while trying to adjust to your new grip.

Positioning your hand closer to the brush/nib will give you more control, and is best used when working on finer details. I like to avoid using an up close, tight, grip for longer/larger lines and shapes, as the lines tend to look more labored or lack energy or just look less confident.

Positioning your hand further back away from the nib, the center of the tool or even near the back, will give you less control, but is very useful for doing looser lines and/or larger areas and shapes. Usually, I'll pull back on my grip when doing the outline of something, then moving the grip closer to the nib to get in finer details.

*side note*: always remember to pivot with your shoulder and elbow whenever doing non-detailed, non-intricate work. It's okay to flick/pivot with your wrist and fingers for up close work when necessary, but using ONLY your wrist often leads to injury down the road.
