This years Gala of Ghouls has come to a close, and I'm so thankful for all of the wonderful entries and awesome scavenger hunts!!! I had so much fun, I hope you guys did too!

The raffles have concluded and the event folder will no longer accept submissions! The results will be rolled sometime tomorrow in the CCCats discord! Results will also be posted here!

CLUE 01 - APR 07, 2020
Find the home of all species!

"April is upon the land, flora and fauna across Skire basking in the long-awaited warmth of spring. The residents of Stonewing are no different, and the streets have begun to bustle with a type of crowd that the city has not seen in quite some time. Whispers on the warm and earthy breeze have brought word of the Gala of Ghouls, tales spreading across Skire of a pair of twins planning a bit of fun. The year prior, a number of the city’s inhabitants were whipped into a whirlwind of fun, returning with tales of scavenger hunts ripe with grand winnings, though nothing quite like the grandeur of the Festival of Ghouls. Ever since the banishment of the Crooks, the swindling set of oh-so-scandalous twins has not been seen in centuries, some could suggest.
    The rumors, in fact, couldn’t possibly be closer to the truth, you see, I started them! One cannot expect a CCCat of my stature not to start a whisper of sincerity regarding my own soiree, and of course with the support of my stunning sister. Our long awaited re-arrival to Stonewing always creates an array of activity, and I am amazed by the amount of action occurring already!
    We’ve had plenty of paces to ponder our plans for pulling up to your place of perfect pleasence, and I implore you to find some point to come and play, and perhaps pick up a prize! Join me, Jingle, as the Gala of Ghouls begins again!"

    Hearing the jovial words of Jingle has led CCCats, Crooks, and humans from far and wide to make their way to Stonewing for the return of the April Ghouls festival, each hoping to walk away with a prize, a purchase, or a belly full of delicious food. Vendors from all over Stonewing gather to hawk their wares, setting up tents each evening between buildings, creating a bustling night market swarmed by thousands each night. Artisans of craft and food alike bring their most eccentric goods, knowing well that whimsy and wonder sell well here. The streets line with brightly colored linens and lights decorating each stall, and above the bustle turn windmills and float airships, the staples of Stonewing decorated with glistening strings of glowing crystals. The festival seems to vanish each morning, only to return as the sun finally sets again for another round of fun.

    The twins, Jingle and Chime, finally reunited, have begun to plan their biggest bash yet, each night packed full with activity. Despite the allure of wildflower pastries and crystal-lit lamps, the focal point of each event is the Great Draw, where each person, CCCat, or Crook can contribute a single entry of their creation into the drawing box to be randomly drawn for a prize. Those more willing to test their skills also patiently await the twin’s signature scavenger hunts, scattered sporadically throughout the month, bearing a similar prize: a golden ticket, a blank slate on which to create new life.

Draw/write your Skire character experiencing the Gala of Ghouls!

Here are some ideas for what to draw/write!

-Celebrating alongside Jingle and Chime.

-Eating some of the famous snacks scattered around the festival.

-Purchasing something from a vendor.

-Adding their entry to the raffle box or participating in a scavenger hunt

-Watching from afar, perhaps they are not one for parties.

-Performing for others.

-Selling their own wares.

(Do not feel limited by these, feel free to take your spin on them!)

Rules and Requirements
-Your art or writing must be related to the theme of the prompt.

-No X rated or sexual material. Gore is allowed, but needs to follow DA guidelines, have a gore warning in the title, and have a Mature Rating tag.

-You may only make one entry that can be entered into the raffle for the prize at the end of the prompt. You may make as much art as you like but only one piece may count for a entry.

-If you are drawing someone else’s character please make sure you have their permission to do so.

-Prizes from this event are subject to normal CCCat/Crook/group rules.
- Do not guilt trip or harass members for entering or winning a prize. Doing so will ban you from entering future events.
- Do not enter the event if you are blacklisted or greylisted. (We have informed you if you are.)
- Your entry must be submitted to the correct event folder in the group. If you do not your entry may be missed and not counted for the event.

~ART REQUIREMENTS~
(Should you choose to do an art entry)
- Image including your Skire character, an NPC, or other Skire character that you have permission to use for your ‘focus character.
- ¾ body showing of the primary character.
- Fully colored. (Shading not required but can be added.)
- Background required. (Can be slightly simplified, but needs to be detailed enough to be clearly visible.)
- Art must be done by you. You may not commission others to make your entry for you, nor can you use bases or artwork done by others to create your entry. Collaboration pieces will not earn either person an entry but can still be done for fun. (Please state if you are doing a collab piece)
- Photography used as backgrounds will not be allowed for this event, even if it is your photo.
- Photography is allowed if you are submitting a craft entry, such as sculpted or paper CCCats interacting with the world around them.
- Entries can be digital or traditional! If done traditionally, please make sure your submission is clearly visible and is not blurry or hard to make out the contents of what is drawn.

- Minimum of 1000 words per entry.

- You must create the story/literature yourself. You may not commission someone else to write it for you. Plagiarism will be checked.

Prizes
-Base raffle prizes will be 3 MYOs with 1 Rare and 1 uncommon traits.

-If we get 30 entries we will increase the prize to 4 MYOs, and 1 new MYO every 10 entries received for this event after.

-The winners will be determined by RNG.

-These slots will have 1 Rare and 1 uncommon traits for the winner to work with and your choice of species.

Scavenger Hunts

Please Read this section thoroughly! There will be three "Scavenger hunts" this month in tandem with this event!

They will be announced with a 24 hour notice before the hunts start. This journal will then be updated with the first clue, which will be listed at the top of the journal!
Scavenger hunts will have one winner each, with 1 MYO slot (1 rare and 1 uncommon trait) as a prize! Instructions will be given alongside each new hunt on how to claim upon completion!

A: No, it is a month long and extending it would delay other prompts.

Q: If I win can I give my prize away?

A: For the purpose of this event and limiting entries, if you win the prize will only be able to be given to the winner and not gifted to someone else, sorry!

Q: Can I enter to try and help someone else win?

A: No, it is not fair for multiple people to enter on behalf of one person.

Q: When will the event end specifically?

A: This prompt will end the 4/30/2020 at 11:59 PST.

Q:When will prizes be raffled off?

A: Likely a few days after the event ends. Please give us time to make sure we have everything for the raffle. We would hate to rush and miss someone’s entry.

Q:My entry was denied because it didn’t meet the requirements. Can I fix it and resubmit to try and enter?

A: Yes as long as this is done so before the event ends. We will not count anything submitted after the event has ended.

Due to concerns for the health of the collaborating admin Cheshiretails and wishing for them to get some rest, our follow-up prompt from the More To Explore event is is instead switching gears to this event held and created by agreeablefrog and Jesperade !
