omg! after about 120 hours over 10 days i've got to finish my entry for the *girltripped contest.
so much fun to draw this, specially for the winter lips, the key, pearls... well, everything in this picture is inspiring

This is beautiful marcus. I always love seeing your work on my devwatch list. I really like the subtleties in the pearls, and that you've repeated circular shapes throughout on the lips and cheek. Good luck in the contest

i have used a lot those circular shapes... i just love using them. i think they can add sort of bright or texture to some parts of a illustration.

That's really beautiful. I love how it's so detailed, but upon closer inspection you can tell that you didn't sweat the small stuff -- a very hard thing to avoid when vectoring. The only area about this picture that diverts my attention is the highlight under her chin which seems to be a tad too bright. In the photograph it's more subdued and in this piece, it draws attention to itself and flattens out her chin causing a painful disconnect between the soft fleshy underside and her neck. Outstanding work nonetheless!!!

you're absolutely right in your two points here...
- as i was running out of time, i had to leave some parts as they were in that moment... that's why i didn't make everything so detailed. i probably would take a whole week more at least - and believe me, i wish i could have - but there were no time remaining.
- and about the excessive bright under her chin, i noticed when reading your comment... agreed.
