Description
I just got a new program, so I was testing some of the effects/brushes. I really liked the sketch brushes in Clip Studio Paint, but I ended up using Photoshop for final touch-ups.Confession: After literally 10 years of using Photoshop, I concede. Clip Studio Paint was a lot more intuitive to draw with. I really like the pencil tools. I've played around with some of the blending tools and they are awesome (pretty sure I didn't use any of them on this sketchy-mess, though. LOL!). This piece was mostly to see what the pencil tools were like, and I slapped some color on it and cleaned up the lines (a bit).
I have no idea what the heck is going on in this picture. I guess these are my characters/designs? I've been thinking recently that I really prefer shounen-style art more than shoujo-style (mostly because of the fight scenes, but also because I hate romance as a genre. So shoujo is just not my cup of tea.). So I guess this was inspired by the shounen-animes I grew up watching (FMA/Naruto/Bleach)? The outfits/colors schemes/characters just sorta happened. I don't usually draw characters in clothing I'd never wear in public (Wow, I've drawn a lot of suits of armor), but sometimes it's hard to justify covering up the bodies once I've already drawn them :<
Tl;dr - So, yup. Tested a new program and this mess happened.
