- Her mother is a famous model and uses men to her benefit, including Bellamy's father. All of Bellamy's life she was taught to be as beautiful as possible, to use the people around her to make herself popular and rich, because that's what her mother has done. Bellamy was taught from a young age that everybody is two-faced and anyone who ever wants to be her friend or is romantically interested in her only wants to take something from her, whether it be money or sex or whatever. Bellamy hated all of this beauty stuff, her mother's personality and tendencies had tainted the idea of beauty to where she almost takes being called beautiful as an insult. She did meet Vil while they were both still kids, and has modeled with him on a few occasions, but she doesn't think too highly of him due to him acting too much like her own mother at times. Bella just wants to live a simple normal life, and latches onto her friends (especially Shilo) to live vicariously through their childhood stories. Bella was never aloud to explore her Yarpatian heritage, and eats up every little thing she learns from Shilo, and eventually Rook.
- Bellamy and Shilo become bestfriends, and closer to each other than to the other girls in the school (though all 6 girls are very close in the end). Bellamy struggles with breaking from the mold her mother set for her, not wanting to be "the perfect doll" and just live her life. Shilo, having been told to hide her true nature her whole life, kind of identifies with this and secretly idolizes Bellamy. Bella is perfect and doesn't need to try to be "normal" if she wanted to, unlike Shilo who has had to learn how to be normal her whole life and still struggles from time to time. Bellamy expresses want to be rebellious and Shilo enables that.
Notes
- Her first name is based on "Belle". Her last name is based on the Beast's real name, Prince Adam.
- Her mother always nags her to get contacts, even showing her the beautiful colors she could make her eyes, and saying glasses will hide/hurt her beauty. But Bellamy gets the thickest frames she can just to piss her mother off.
