Just a quick comic done for fun. I'm not particularly a Light fan (L FTW!) but the oh-so-dramatic guestures in the anime were just begging to be made fun of.Done in Painter and Photoshop. Death Note characters belong to the creator.

Light is my fav. character and this is so funny. BTW i like light cuz he's evil... And I would do what he does!

Not a sadist, not a punisher for the non-horrific (he kills innocents in a non punishing way, but in a "ends justify the means way," not a torturer (doesn't kill in the painful ways he's capable of), he isn't corrupt and has no plans to sell the note in order to get everything he wants, or kill others to better his life/future... How exactly is he evil? It's one thing to be against his actions but "evil" has to be justified. He doesn't even just kill anyone who's killed, but instead takes in their circumstances--he isn't anti-empathetic. The author has made it clear from various interviews that he's not on a side morally speaking, and understands and views Light's intentions as honorable. What he comes by the end is not good, but evil isn't the word.
