Another exclusive commission piece. This is a raw, hand-drawn chibi. Monster High made it's incredible return by collbaborating with iconic horror movie villians. One of the first was It's Pennywise, the dancing clown. I think Mattel Creations did a brillant job. So far, all the doll interpredations have been female, and they've been pretty fierce, and fun. I loved being able to capture their Pennywise in a cute chibi form. All my chibis start as pencil sketches, but this time I used a traditional india pen ink pen for the line art, and coloured with Copics. The colour scheme for Pennywise is actually quite simple, with only a handful of colours. Copic worked out really well. This piece still looks really sharp, in comparison to my usual, digital coloured chibis. I can't wait to draw the rest of the Skull Collector ghouls!
