This is Methane, one of the npcs that people will be able to interact with in the Aluris group. They have a pretty big role in some of the plot, so I hope you guys enjoy them! They are made of lightning opal and are the only aluris made of that material, as a result of them getting zapped by electricity. Because of the electricity, they now have electric magic, which is thought to be a core magic that has been lost in time. They are a master mage, knowing almost everything there is to know about magic. In their studies, they accidentally had a run-in with some dark magic monsters, and became overcome with "wretch", a disease that causes aluris to become skeletal monsters. However, they were able to halt the progression of the disease. As a result, they have lost most of their form on their arm and half of their face (which they cover with a glove and an eyepatch respectively). They have to constantly refresh the spell to stop the wretch from spreading and have yet to find a permanent cure. Other, less fortunate aluris tend to become completely skeletal, constantly hungry for magic.
