"[...] the only value of your photos is a sentimental one [...]"I have to accept the fact that, in every part of my life, most of my actions are rather emotional than cerebral and that I will never grow up.

Poza e facuta in apropiere de Piata Victoriei, e un bloc care a "adoptat" multe pisici, dar cea din poza nu era intr-una din zilele ei norocoase... Multumesc mult pentru apreciere si pentru fav!

Wow, I really like this. It is very thought provoking. And I can relate very much to the trapped cat.

I could probaly just sit and stare at it. It provokes emotions and scenes in my head...and it's really cool. How all the metal is twisted around and it becomes a cage. t'is awesome and thought provoking.

I want to say I love the picture but the subject matter makes me want to cry. I am looking for my wire cutters now. While I don't know the whole story, it is hard to believe anyone would do this. It would take less time to drop it off at the humane society. The technique is good, it definitely brings up alot of emotion

Very beautiful work. The concrete's texture, the messily crafted "bars", the cat's eyes. Really beautiful and emotive work. keep it up

This made me so sad when I first saw it (having just watched a program about animal cruelty) so thank you for setting the cat free! It's a wonderful picture.

Unfortunately, this does happen here in the US, often.
Our two cats we rescued from the side of the road in FL when they were 6 weeks old. We found them when we stopped to clear broken plastic out of the road so we wouldn't drive on it. We saw 3 kittens in the grass off to the side, they looked like little foxes in the dark. We got them to come to us w/ dried meat and luckily they hadn't been dumped that long ago so they weren't feral yet. We were in the middle of a move so kittens were not a good thing for us, moving to the other side of the country in a pickup truck. But they lived in that truck for a couple weeks and we kept 2 of em. So cute, and grown up now! People dump, kill, poison animal often here. Anyone who doesn't know about this is shutting it out.
On your photo: I love how no one has thought of how maybe the lighting is "weird" and it looks "fake" because maybe the day was over cast? That is exactly what this picture looks like, a cloudy day. The cats eyes are squinting because, the light on those days is very harsh to look at, and the tunnel is not illuminated because there is no direct light. Just an even wash on everything.

I love the story of your two cats! You know, I promised to myself never to adopt another cat than a stray one!
But I'm sure that the cruelty against animals is not so present there as it is here.
Thanks for reading corectly the photo, when I took the photo the sky was covered by clouds and another thing - the building it was high and the sun (the one covered by clouds) it was right behind the building, so, as you said, no direct light.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment!
