I’M STILL GETTING USED TO THE DEVICES CALLED TABLET AND PHOTOSHOP… sorry if it’s a little …ionno boring?Was this just an excuse to draw raven half naked?….. Yes.
This idea popped up in my head when I was forcing a good (but evil) friend of mine watch the “Birthmark” episode. It was her first time watching, but she’s going through each season because… well because I told her to xD She knows how obsessed I am with the show and Beast boy and Raven lol
She got to the part where Slade tears up her cloak and says “…WTF FANSERVICE MUCH!?”
And then I tell her. “JUST WAIT, you haven’t seen anything yet.”
*couple seconds pass and Raven‘s leotard is being shredded apart*
“OH MY GOD! …can Beastboy see her like this?”
I laughed. And then we kept watching. Then comes the part where Robin swoops in to save her from falling and then says ‘Let’s go home.’
At that point my friend goes “… wait…. What happened to the others?!?!”
AND THAT’S WHEN IT HIT ME. SHE’S HAS A POINT! So that’s where this comic came from. XD
I guess Raven and Robin went to get the other titans in that factory place. I don’t know why, but I imagine while most of the titans are concerned about sentimental junk, beast boy is being blunt and ASKS THE REAL QUESTION!
Why? Ionno seeing raven half naked he blocks everything else and has to know why xD

The one problem I've always had with Birthmark is that, once Raven starts time again, the rest of the Titans are still about to be crushed by various pieces of heavy machinery. So as soon as time starts again... squish.

I actually read this comic before I saw the episode. Then when I actually watched it, I remembered this. Yup, I can imagine Beast Boy being the one to ask her that.

I know it's a kids show, but given how dark that episode was, I was truly expecting Slade to go much further with her than he did.

And in the original script for season 2, Terra was SUPPOSED to have a CRUSH on Slade, as a throwback to their sordid comic relationship.
In fact, Marv Wolfman's fellow comic writer, George Perez, confirms...
George Perez: I wanted her to be cute but not beautiful. She looked like a young girl. I gave her a substantial overbite, her eyes were wide, her body was slim, she wasn't particularly busty. I wanted her to look almost eleven, so that when you see her for the first time wearing full-make up and dressed in a provocative outfit where you know she's just been in bed with Deathstroke that it does jab you a bit. "Whoa, good God! This little girl is a slut!"
Still, Slade's comments and Terra's eagerness to please spoke volumes enough, as far as the animated series was concerned.
During the episode "Betrayal", Slade says and does things that suggest he's jealous of Beast Boy's relationship with Terra. He actually says, out loud, in one of the most bitter tones you ever hear out of Ron Perlman , "she never even liked you" and "you could never give her what she wanted." This having to do with a girl who's thirteen or fourteen years old and a man who's older than forty. In another episode in that arc, they give each other this "warm and fuzzy" look which is deeply unsettling. In the finale opening, there's a scene where Terra swears her loyalty to Slade and for all the world it looks like she's taking wedding vows . Just what in the world happened while Slade was training Terra?

Tara Markov: *to Slade, with her pressed up against his chest* I got Robin for you, hon. It wasn't HARD at all. If you think you've got the stamina, you can "thank me" for it, later.
The creepy subtext of Slade's partnership with Terra culminates in "Aftershock", when Terra disobeys Slade's order to fight and runs for her life from the Titans. Remember that when something is left ambiguous, fans always assume they're hiding the worst case scenario:
Terra: I made it! I'm alive! I can't believe they almost beat me...
Slade: (backhands her across the room) That was nothing compared to what I'm going to do to you ...
When Beast Boy asked Slade what he did to Terra, the following was the mercenary's response:
Slade: Nothing she didn't want me to do.
Then there's this line...
Slade: She wanted control, and that's what I gave her; my control, her body.
After Tara's self-implosion, this dialog took place between Beast Boy and (an unmasked) Slade at a nearby diner in the comics:
Garfield: *inquisitively* Slade, I got to know. Did you...make love to Tara?
Slade (Deathstroke): *sternly* Would it have made any difference?
Garfield: *dejected* I - I suppose not.

Starfires comment: "You must have endured much." must've been the only thing the others said that Beast-boy heard, he was fixated on her near nakedness. Oh, and how he was going to kill Slade for whatever he did to Raven besides strip her. Beast-boys mind must've been in the gutter all night after she returned.
Although, I'm sure Starfires' first comment upon seeing Raven return in Robins' arms would've been one of jealousy.
