I’M STILL GETTING USED TO THE DEVICES CALLED TABLET AND PHOTOSHOP… sorry if it’s a little …ionno boring?Was this just an excuse to draw raven half naked?….. Yes.
This idea popped up in my head when I was forcing a good (but evil) friend of mine watch the “Birthmark” episode. It was her first time watching, but she’s going through each season because… well because I told her to xD She knows how obsessed I am with the show and Beast boy and Raven lol
She got to the part where Slade tears up her cloak and says “…WTF FANSERVICE MUCH!?”
And then I tell her. “JUST WAIT, you haven’t seen anything yet.”
*couple seconds pass and Raven‘s leotard is being shredded apart*
“OH MY GOD! …can Beastboy see her like this?”
I laughed. And then we kept watching. Then comes the part where Robin swoops in to save her from falling and then says ‘Let’s go home.’
At that point my friend goes “… wait…. What happened to the others?!?!”
AND THAT’S WHEN IT HIT ME. SHE’S HAS A POINT! So that’s where this comic came from. XD
I guess Raven and Robin went to get the other titans in that factory place. I don’t know why, but I imagine while most of the titans are concerned about sentimental junk, beast boy is being blunt and ASKS THE REAL QUESTION!
Why? Ionno seeing raven half naked he blocks everything else and has to know why xD

you know you can make a thought provoking and somewhat challenging premise on a kid's show without going too far and sticking with the original premise. That worked well on its own.

Yet, we got things like Beetlejuice/Lydia (age-old ghost who lived through the Black Plague practically married to a death-obsessed preteen emo-turned-perky goth photographer) from Tim Burton in the 80s too--both as a live-action movie [ [link] ] & a cartoon for kids [ [link] ]--not to mention the rumors of the long-awaited sequel. So, really, that argument falls flat when we allow Burton to make pedophilia & necrophilia not only seemingly acceptable, but--per the cartoon--even cute! The irony of this? Warner Brothers--who owns both DC Comics, and thereby the Titans, as well as TV networks The CW & CN/Boomerang--owns the distribution rights to the Beetlejuice franchise, hence why the 1988 film is released under a WB label whenever it is put onto VHS/DVD/Blu-Ray. It also owns the cartoon too, even if it hasn't been on official DVD yet (though the first season was put on VHS) & was last seen airing on U.S. TV during the "Cartoon Cartoon" era of CN.

But that film was rated PG. Teen Titans is rated Y-7. And in the BeetleJuice cartoon those things you mentioned aren't really mentioned: implied at most.

The BJ cartoon was itself for kids of the 80s, so the two being BFFs--despite Beetlejuice's jealousy when another suitor enters the picture (ex: Bully the Crud & Prince Vince), his shrine to her within his mind to which Lydia herself gladly donates (episode 5 Out of My Mind), and references to the movie (i.e. BJ & Lyds singing strains of "Day-O" in the first episode, Lydia still enrolled in Miss Shannon's School for Girls per the end of the film, a homage to the dinner scene with Lydia's relatives instead of Charles' business associates, Lydia actually wearing her wedding ring sparingly throughout the series, double meanings by Beetlejuice that clearly are kid-friendly versions of his perverse comments in the film, Peaceful Pines being the cartoon mirror double to the film's White River, etc.)--was as close to putting the two together as creator Tim Burton could get without censors & "concerned" parents breaking down his door for pairing characters who clearly scream both pedo & necro simultaneously.

Titans head writer David Slack intentionally wrote Raven and Beast Boy as a "married couple", hence the relationship was one of deep loyalty and affection, but also laced with conflictive personality clashes.

This "tough love" relationship between Beast Boy and Raven is continued in Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo, also written by Slack.

It's been hinted several times throughout the series that Raven has romantic feelings for Beast Boy, but is simply too stubborn to admit it.

With The Beast Within screaming animal territorial behaviors regarding their mates meets werewolf lore meets Beauty & the Beast [ [link] ] for obvious reasons [ [link] ], it's only natural that Titans GO reference a fairy tale too & what no better one than Princess & the Frog (or as it was originally written, The Frog Prince), as seen in the issue where the Doom Patrol makes an appearance.
As for Terra, not only did the Raven-hating (per this comparison scan [ [link] ]) psychotic geomancer with a Britney Spears-like personality who hears Voices [ [link] ] die in both the show & source comics--per these comparison shots [ [link] & [link] ]--following her sexual congress with Slade--per overt smut in comics [ [link] ] & context in cartoon--but she was last seen (Atlee not included, although she is Terra 3, genetically speaking & relationship-wise [ [link] ]) as a Black Lantern zombie, as presented here [ [link] & [link] ].
Therein lies the problem. Raven & Terra are opposing mirrors of each other. Whilst Terra's relations with Slade [ [link] ] & betrayal solidified the Titans, Raven being corrupted by her demonic heritage seemingly drives them apart! The changeling who presumably has got it all whilst being the master of animal evolution [ [link] ]--as if we didn't know who--especially, since under the sway of Raven's dark avatar, Beast Boy is told to find souls to use as vessals for Trigon's comeback to the mortal realm. Who does he choose? Why none other than Terra 2--who eludes capture before her own death--and even female citizens who resemble Terra, as depicted (complete with Raven turning Beast Boy into a cannibal) here [ [link] ].
