Once you defeat the Elite Four in Black and White, you meet Looker and the similarities are uncanny. So. I HAD TO 8D
I'm playing through White with Rodney, haaa. I used Finch in SoulSilver, so it was only fair. :I
Criticism is highly encouraged! I'm pretty new to this whole comic thing and I want to get better, so SOCK IT TO ME.

Even though I have not as yet played this particular brand of Pokemon, (Haven't bought a new one since fire red. And the one I had before that was yellow. ;;>.> ) I still can't help loving this and laughing Every. Dang. Time.

Lol! I think Fire red is the only version I've ever actually had in cartridge form.
The Yellow Blue and Red versions that I played (you know, way back when it was all so shiny and new) were just roms that my brother had somehow got to work on our computer. (Which was pretty dang old even in the late 90's)

I really love the way you've initiated the panels, they flow very well into one another. I honestly can't find anything to critique on, you've done a great job concerning the expressions as well. You should definitely make more comics!

Well, it's kinda iffy, but I think it would help if your first panel was more of an establishing shot instead of a middle shot. This would give more of a context of the environment (but then again, for something like this, it's not really about the environment is it?). I do like the three panel shots of the emotional slide, if you will, but I don't think the second panel is needed, since the first and third would be enough to show the character is skeptical.
You may want to be more consistent with your word balloon shapes, there is one that isn't as rounded as the others and it kinda seems out of place. It's also a little odd to see "wot" not being in any form of balloon as well... Some panels could use a little more room for the words and images.
A little more polishing on your backgrounds could help it look a little more professional.
Some of your expressions could maybe be upped a little bit, but otherwise I think they are all good. A little bit of moving the camera around could make the comic a little more entertaining from a visual standpoint (but don't over-do that too!).
Certainly a good start though!

I kind of thought about having an establishing shot first too, but since this was about Looker looking a lot like the Doctor, I wanted to have a close up of that first, but I get that it might be a bit confusing as to who he's talking to right off the bat, which is why I put the establishing shot second. :I
I tried to move the camera around as much as I could without making it too over-dramatic... That's just a personal preference, I guess! I come from more of a storyboard/animation background so I don't like moving the camera unless there's an absolute story-telling need to.

I duuuuunno, it may have worked with the establishing shot first looking like "Hay look it's gonna be a Pokemans comic with the Looker" and THEN next panel be a close up and you go "hay waitaminute he looks kind of like...OH MAN HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT BEFORE?!"

one thing... thats just a personal preference not really a rule. when you do off screen characters i like to put an indent/chip thing cause when its just a circle sometimes you just assume its the same character continuing their talk. But i mean a lot of comic artist just do a circle without a knick in it, so it's nothing much.
I think you have a knack for comics.

Oh yeaaahhh, I was kind of wondering about what to do in that situation, so I might give that a try next time. I noticed it in your comics and thought it was pretty clever. x)
I used sai to sketch and do the lines, all the colours and bgs were done in Photoshop. :I I want to try doing one all in Photoshop though... As much as I like the way sai does lines, they end up being too thin to colour in a timely manner. X)

yeah, i mean it totally works without, but sometimes in some situation it helps. Like if you are introducing a character off screen which you didnt know was there before, if someone just sees a word bubble then they don;t know what it is, but if it has a tick in it then its like oh, thats another character..
Its so tempting to get a pc just for the extra software.
