On December 7th 2020, police killed three human activists, this led to massive riots and increased tensions between the anthro and human populations. On December 13th it was revealed that the killings were no accident and the mayor had ordered them. The U.A.N. the national guard stepped in and martial law was declared. Soon a lone Special Recon Unit (SRU) agent was tasked with the assasination of the mayor, who had begun to create a militia to "defend the city". On December 20th the mayor was killed and elections were held, leading to the first human to be elected into a government position in the U.A.N.
Chicago still hasn't fully recovered fully from the incident almost 8 years later.

December 13th is known as "The Sunday Without a Sun" as during the day the smoke from the fires blocked out the sun's light.
