This started out as a joke with a friend who loves DBZ, but now after CGing the drawing, I like it lots. (The full view looks SOOOO much clearer!)
A few years ago a friend and I were drawing characters in the DBZ style. I'm not a big fan of Dragonball Z, but I really like 2 of the characters: Android 17 and 18. In my opinion they are the only cool looking designs in the series. He immediately noticed that my character Epiales looks and acts surprisingly like both of them. So I designed him an outfit halfway between 17 and 18, and voila, its their extremely obscure and confusing sibling...... Android 17.5 ...

Your Android 17.5 is extremely close to one of my characters in appearance. Would you like to see him? Cuse I haven't uploaded any pics of him. He has an odd name...Pierre Dachs...rhymes with paradox.

A very original, aesthetically pleasing character design. I love that outfit, which might otherwise have appeared odd but it's totally right for the character; very different, very stylish. Faved.

I am not a fan of the anime anymore but I still LOVE 17!!

That is so weird, I was totally thinking about what 17 and 18 might look like redesigned earlier. I love Akira Toriyama's character designs and the androids as they are, but this is really neat (and hawt).

cool! i used to love watching DBZ, until i first saw Android 17 and 18, i must watch whole episodes whatever how its spells, that pic is cool... and cute as well.... Android 17 and 18 are best, until then i other think Supreme Kai (Kaioshin) so hot as well.... Tapion as well.... its only 4 of them are my favorites!! here i am babbling, sorry abt that, i love ur works!

the androids were the BEST characters on the show, and this looks like a perfect blending of 17 and 18. This doesn't look like the DBZ style though, because it's better. His left hand is a little small, but that's the only thing wrong with it. I say that he's a he, but he looks a little bit like a hermaphrodite. anyway, awesome pic.
