Done over a year ago; I randomly picked him cuz I forgot to bring a reference source and the instructor needed to know who I was drawing, so I said: uh.. that dude from System of a Down, since it was playing in my radio on the way there... and here is Serj... with a cow lick.

It takes a double take to fully absorb the entire drawing, at first, Serj appears expressionless(SIC) then, when you look in deeper you see a thousand thoughts and feelings going on at once. That, and the depth of the eyes, awesome use of shadow/light... the eyes have it...Nice work, Chahi, you are truly talented!

the shadow use in this is wonderful. it brings the viewer a lot closer and more comfortable with the person i nthe portrait. i also love the lack of expression on his face....this is beautiful.
