From the journal of Antrothis: Imperious was the most powerful of us. He could have been a tyrant, but he had chosen to show benevolence to the younger races. That is until they had grown arrogant and cruel. He had shown mercy and charity until the ambitions of a mad despot lead to the murder and butchering of his mate. Until he returned to find the eggs bearing his children shattered and the head of his mate adorning the castle wall. Her treasures had been stolen to fuel a lunatic’s fanatical war. They wanted war? Imperious would bring it to them and he was not the worst yet to come.
