For a time period the length of which I either can't remember or refuse to admit, I had the intention of taking Soarin's appearance in the official Season 4 poster and retrofitting it to the standards of stallion flash puppet builds in the show that he hadn't been retrofitted into in-show until at least Season 6. In the poster, he still has his same build and puppet physique that dates back to what stallions appeared as in Season 1, although his Season 4 appearance did make some advancements particularly to his head.

It wasn't until S08E05/Grannies Gone Wild that he got the three-quarter-view-with-both-eyes-visible treatment in the show (not that it stopped me before not only once , but at least twice ). I couldn't help but make other observations where there's bits of the old build and bits of the new build from shot to shot, or even within the same shot. It'd be even longer still before I'd actually bother to go through with vectoring him in the newer stallion build which includes his head at this particular angle, to the point I'd have a Chrome tab open to the poster almost as a reminder. This was done within a few days of when I'd leave for BronyCon 2019, which was at the end of July that year. This was also around the time when I learned the hard way that large-resolution and transparent PNGs were no longer supported on Twitter , and that the best workaround was uploading an image no larger than 900 pixels on its longest side.
