Planet Keron: Winged Star Elemental’s Platoon Home (Time: 0900 Hours)

“See, I told you we were gonna make it home on time!” Omnini said as he entered the room with his sister and parents in tow.

“Hello!” Omimi called in the home. “We’re home!”

“O-Oh!” Shiroro admitted as she peered from the corner. However something seemed a bit…off as Suhaha was reading large tome, to writing something, as if to translate something before he glances up. “Hello…Father.”

“Ah you’re home.” Suhaha admitted as he closed up the book. “It was Yukaka’s turn to watch.”

“Watch what?” Omimi asked politely.

“Secret.” All three adults said at once.

Omnini just gave a bored expression at the line; really? They’ve been saying this for days now. Well it wasn’t the first thing they kept from him or her sister…

For starters, their current home here. They didn’t even KNOW about this house until last year- in fact last year plus a couple of weeks ago. The fact was that Shiroro’s father- Suhaha- owned the home and the time the two were in a VERY unstable relationship and all of this originated from an incident at Omnini’s brith. It’s fairly obvious that hindsight 20/20 runs rampant in this family and Platoon. If you don’t understand, here’s the lowdown; it all started with Omnini’s brith when Yukaka- the grandmother to the leader of the Winged Elemental Corp- got possessed by a viper Suhaha killed. If Yukaka hadn’t been exploring the location for nostalgia, they could’ve avoided a confrontation that resulted in a greatly damaged relation between father and daughter… That also chained on to an event; involving being unable to move to a more…safer home instead of a jungle. That also latches on that his parents were attacked by a scientist sending loose an experiment on them because of some crazy scheme.
Then again, conflicting definitions of justice, plans, and ideals would also cause problems.

But enough of that, Omnini knows when he’s being lied to- or at least smart enough to catch on when something’s up. “Okay, I think you guys are obviously hiding something. I mean you guys are keeping it a secret, yes, but what’s going on here?”

“Well, what do you know?” Shiroro asked her children.

“Well I know that last week you guys wanted all of us out of the house until a couple days later. Then you locked us out of the attic, and had Masasa bunk with me.” Omnini admitted.

“Then over the next few days, you had all 5 of us train together while Grandma and Grandpa get some things from who knows where for what purpose?” Omimi asked.

“Now, now all will be revealed soon enough.” Suhaha replied. “For now Omnini, you should send the rally call for everyone.”

“Rally up the Platoon? Um…Okay.” Omnini admitted before grabbing his cellular device as he punched in a number. After a couple of rings, someone picked as Omnini said, “Akaka, this is Omnini. Grandpa’s calling us in.”

“Ugh? Really?” Akaka replied on the other line. “Er, alright I’ll head in. I’ll be there within a half hour. I’m with Jeroro right now.”

“At that early in the morning?” The leader replied with an odd look. “…Um, okay. See you then.” The black and red tadpole replied as he hung up and redialed the phone with a different number. However, he shortly got a response as Omnini asked, “That you Masasa? Grandpa’s calling us in. Where are you?”

“Ah, well just checking the location the Dark Wings once called their home. I’ll be back soon.” Masasa replied on the other line.

“Alright then.” Omnini replied as he hung up. “What about him?”

“Katsutsu will be here shortly. I asked him to get the things we’ll need.” Suhaha admitted. “Something this event wouldn’t be without.”

Okay if they weren’t curious before because of interest or business, this explanation clarifies NOW the two offspring of Shiroro and Kuroro are curious. What is going on here…?

It had been a short half hour as Akaka just arrived. However, her symbol was all crooked as Omimi admits, “What happened? Did you oversleep?”

“Y-yeah, of course.” Akaka admitted as she briefly peeled off her symbol as she readjusts it to a proper position and checks herself. “So, what’s the call about?”

“Grandpa wanted us altogether for something.” Omnini replied. “The question is what?”

“Sheesh- okay then.” Akaka admitted as she gave a bit of a yawn as she rubbed her eyes.

“…Where the heck is Masasa?” Omimi asked. “He should’ve been here by now.”

“Right behind you, dumbass.” Masasa replied with blue tinted white child flinching as she hopped over the couch. “Sorry about that.”

“Hey!” A familiar voice said as a clone trooper Keronian came in with an orange star on his belly. It looked to be a dark blue Keronian- but the skin is black-grey when it should be white. He looked to be carrying a bag as he admits, “I got the things we need! Is it time yet?”

“Time? Time for what?” Akaka asked as she yawned again. “If anything, I wanna take a shower.”

“Can’t yet.” Suhaha admitted with the red female asking ‘Why?’ in a rude voice. “Because-”

“Everyone! It’s time!” Yukaka called out from upstairs.

Everyone looked to each other. While the individuals under 18 (excluding Katsutsu) were confused, the others looked excited- especially Shiroro and Kuroro. “Everyone upstairs. You’ll see why soon enough!” Shiroro explained.

The others gave a curious look as the followed the adults up… After a brief discussion with each other Katsutsu nodded as he went past the underage members to go downstairs. The adult looked to of came into the room first and shortly after the children. However, the adults crowded around the door with where Yukaka was waiting outside of the tub before other adults nodded to them to come closer to see what’s happening.. However when the parents stood aside for the others to see, they gave a startled look to see what’s inside of it. However, it only took a few seconds for the two offspring of the two to figure out what happened- with Omnini the first one to speak. However… his line is more of a case of anger;

“…WHAT THE HEEEEEELL?!”

“Ugh- thanks for the wake-up call.” Akaka admitted sarcastically as she rubbed where the ears would be generally located. “But seriously, is that what I think it is?”

“It’s an Egg- A Keronian egg!” Omimi exclaimed with a surprised look as she took a closer look.

There inside of the bath tub was a Keronian egg with a grey center. It was partially in the water as it looked to be wobbling a bit, making tiny waves but it could be from the vibration of everyone’s footsteps. “It is indeed an egg- one me and Shiroro made.” Kuroro commented.

“Whoa- didn’t think you two would…as screw it- didn’t think you two would ‘bow-chika-wow-wow.’” Masasa implied with Omnini covering the area where his ears would be as was Omimi. “That explains why you wanted us out of the house over a week ago. So that baby is gonna be like Suhaha and be dual elemental wilding then or what else is going on?”

“It doesn’t work like that nor is it that simple.” Suhaha admitted. “However, before the uh… unmentionable situation, they trained their elementals off- literally- before the act. Now your baby sibling will have a randomized elemental instead of a predetermined light or dark elemental.”

“…I still don’t want to know why mom and dad did it!” Omimi admitted with a grossed out look. “Well… I want to but not with the details of whatever happened!”

“Okay, okay I can explain it without getting into…well the adult content.” Shiroro admitted. “It all started just shortly after Omimi turned 11- on the 6th of December, the day the both of us went to sleep for at most 9 years when we were attack. The both of us got into thinking and we imagined that you were growing fast- to the point that you two are…well…don’t really need us for anything. I mean you two are dating different people now; although for Omnini’s case…well…it’s sort of somewhat yes.” Omnini gave a bored look at the comment. “Anyways, Kuroro and I were discussing that even though our bodies are as young as they were in back then, we lived for just over 40 years of our lives. So we decided without letting you two know about having a third child.”

“You should’ve TOLD US that you were gonna have a third child! Seriously, you threw a curveball at us!” Omnini exclaimed, angry.

“Yeah! You tricked us!” Omimi exclaimed angry too…until she thought of something. “…Does this mean I’m not the youngest anymore?” The two parents glanced to each other and nodded, with the youngest in high spirits. “YES!”

“Shiroro and Kuroro told us of their plan and we agreed to help them- of course, knowing my daughter choosing to trust me to keep this a secret from the rest of you is something I could do and seeing that she chose to trust me filled me with a bit of joy- seeing the egg beginning in anticipation reminds of when you were born.” Suhaha replied with a happy look.

“Father, save the reminiscing later. And you were just there because I told mother of it.” Shiroro replied sourly.

“Everyone shut it for at least 10 seconds- I think the egg’s ready!” Masasa admitted.
As everyone stood back with Shiroro not moving the egg’s center soon began to enlarge until part of the casing opened and a grey tadpole rolled out of it. The tadpole itself is grey in color with tiny hands. It looked to have a form…of pacifier in its mouth an ice blue color and its eyes were closed a bit until Shiroro picked it up. When she did the infant soon opened its eyes as it show it to have a green color styled like the rest of its family. It soon looked at its mother as she gave a bit of a warm smile to her child and shortly after looking at its mother, it began to cry as Shiroro cradled it.

“There, there…I’m here now.”

“Aww…” Omimi admitted, in awe of the baby. “She’s…cute!”

“How do you know it’s a ‘she’? it could be a he!” Omnini grumbled to his sister. “Right?”

“It’s a ‘he’ alright.” Shiroro admitted. “He’s hungry- just like his older brother was.”

“Told ya.” Omnini admitted with a snickering look with his sister giving the stinkeye at him. “Is the food ready for it?”

“Just about!” Katsutsu called out as he brought up a bottle with freshly made milk and temperature tested. Shiroro received the bottle as she made sure the bottle wasn’t too hot herself before she started feeding the infant. “I heard a bit from downstairs that he’s a boy, yes? What do you plan to call him?”

“Hmmm…” Shiroro admitted as does Kuroro about to say something. However, Omnini said something as he did;

“What about Shimomo?” Omnini asked.

“…Shimomo?” The two parents asked.

“Doesn’t he has that chilling factor about him?” The male admitted. The infant tadpole was still sucking in the liquid contents but…seemed to notice what his brother said. “Grandpa you can sense that too can you?”

“…You’re getting perceptive Omnini.” Suhaha admitted with a look. “But in any case, he does have a point- I can tell he will be wise as will he be strong…”

“Plus, I know you’re sure of it but how can we be sure he’s really Male?” Omimi admitted. “Shimomo is technically a Unisex name. Better to be safe than sorry- right brother?”

“You pretty much know me a bit too well by now, Omimi.” Omnini admitted.

“That’s fine and dandy and all, but… can I please use the washroom?” Akaka admitted with a look. “Seriously, I need to shower. Like right now.”

“Just a second.” Yukaka insisted, before she picks up the casing and drained the tub. “There you go.”

“Thanks. Now everyone out- I seriously need to shower.” Akaka said before she soon got pushy with Omnini and everyone but the red female exits.

“…What was with her?” Omnini asked with a look.

“I can peek in there and see what’s happening.” Masasa admitted before water was heard running from inside of the room. “…Never mind.”

Later…

The group (excluding Akaka) were in the living room as they crowd around Shiroro and Shimomo as Shiroro insisted, “Guys, please! I would like to have some breathing room.”

“Come on! I mean except for Omimi, this is the first real baby I’ve seen!” Omnini admitted.

“Same here!” Omimi commented. “I never seen a real baby before!”

“Same here actually.” Masasa commented. “Down in front!”

Masasa moved Omnini over before meeting Shimomo’s eyesight. It only took a couple of seconds before Shimomo soon started to cry again before wailing with Shiroro trying to calm him down. “S-Shimomo, please calm down! It’s okay, It’s okay!”

“It’s been a while since you guys had a child- so that explains the panicking. Maybe… he can sense what’s wrong?” Masasa commented… before giving a moody bored look.

“Maybe, but it could be possible that something about you scared him.” Shiroro shrugged. Masasa soon backed off before Masasa was far enough away when Shimomo soon calmed down. Suhaha crossed his arms before Shiroro admits, “Is Akaka done up there?”

“Water’s off so she should be done… I’ll go check!” Omimi insisted before heading upstairs.

“Well, Akaka does hair underneath her cap so maybe she’s washing her hair?” Omnini admitted.

It took a couple of moments for Omimi to emerge as she said, “Akaka will be down in a moment!”

Akaka soon walked downstairs with her hat on the side as she said, “Sorry about that- my hair was a mess and granted I needed a shower because it should be a daily thing.”

“Uh-huh- anyways, do you want to say hi to Shimomo?” Shiroro asked while she was holding up the tadpole who gave a confused look as the pacifier dropped from its mouth Akaka caught.

“Hm…” Akaka soon looked over the infant as the infant gave a slight intimidated look. Akaka soon studied the baby before she met the boy’s eyes. While he can’t speak, there was a lot he was thinking on…

“Oh my wow, scary pwetty lady- why is she wooking at me? Is tere something wrong? Where’s m-my baba thingie?” He went inside of his mind as he looked around.

“…That guy’s an active thinker.” Akaka admitted before sticking the pacifier into the tadpole’s mouth who gave a bit of a ‘…’ look.

“Is he?” Shiroro asked.

“Well, a child- especially an infant- is more receptive to everything around them.” Omimi admitted.

“I know but…he can’t speak, and yet he’s talking inside of his head.” Akaka admitted.

“Babies take in everything around them- from surroundings to people.” Suhaha admitted.
“Even a child of an energy user is receptive to info.”

“And just how is he speaking mostly full sentences in his head?” Akaka asked.

“…” Everyone in the room gave Akaka a look before Omnini said, “Some logic is something not to be asked.”

“I agree.” Yukaka admitted. “Let some of the unknown remain unknown.”

“Oh you guys can do a flip off the top of a small house.” A female admitted with a bored look facing around from them.

Later…

Akaka was on her bed in the girl’s room- a shared room between Omimi and Akaka in Omnini’s home- as she soon threw a ball to a padded side of the wall. It made little to no sound as it rebounded back to Akaka’s right hand. “Are you bored, Akaka-chan?” Omimi asked as she looked to the red tadpole.

“Well, sort of.” Akaka admitted. “I was still sort of thinking on what I did.”

“What do you mean, ‘What you did’?” Omimi asked. “You didn’t do anything odd, did you?”

“N-nah, of course not!” Akaka admitted, with her eyes shifted around. “Just…nothing!”

“…You don’t want to talk about it, do you?” The blue tinted white tadpole replied.

“No…let’s just say that I don’t wanna talk about it- I enjoyed it…but if I said anything, you’ll look like I just did something obscenely wrong.” The red female answered.

“…” Omimi looked to of given her some sort of shocked look before to guess, “You didn’t try any drugs, did you?”

“Heck no!” Akaka instantly replied. “If I tried any drugs you would’ve known something- like I was coughing, I was phasing out or something. But I didn’t!”

“…Well you weren’t coughing, so there’s that but you felt very…” Omimi soon noticed something. “Unclean. You only hop in the shower in the evenings, right? Then… were you-”

“NOT…what you think.” Akaka answered. “Just…drop it for now. You’ll figure it out sometime. Hopefully…when I have the guts to admit it myself.”

“Okay…” Omimi admitted in response. She looked reluctant, but this is something Akaka wanted to keep for herself. “So uh…what do you wanna do later?”

“Hmm…You know, I haven’t exactly introduced you to a friend of mine, have I?” Akaka admitted. “Tell you what, I’ll give her a call and we can go later to meet her. She’s busy with a little work.”

“Alrighty!” Omimi said with a smile. “I’m game for it!”

“I’ll grab the phone then.” Akaka soon exited the room. She soon walked by the nursery as Shiroro looked to singing a soft lullaby to Shimomo who looked to be sleeping peacefully.

Akaka soon looked bit forlorn upon seeing that as she briefly remembered something- she remembered something. She soon remembered a mainly purple female tadpole with the same eye shape as hers with green eyes. She looked to be a bit tired though, but she was giving a soft smile as she rocked a younger Akaka to sleep- at the time Akaka’s leg was absent where her metal part of the leg was- in fact, it looked to be bandaged up. She soon looked to hum out a theme she heard- in the melody of –All I want- as Akaka softly sang.

Let’s leave no words unspoken
And save the regrets for the broken
Will you even look back when you think of me?
All I want is a place to call my own
To mend the hearts of everyone who feels alone.
Whoa~
You know to keep your hopes up high and your heads down low.

“Huh?” Shiroro admitted as she soon faced the door when she saw nothing was there as she admitted… “Was that…Akaka singing?”

Akaka soon looked to door before heading back into the bedroom as Akaka soon admitted, “Hey, do you have your cell? I don’t want to screw up and wake up the baby.”

“Huh? Uh, okay…” Omimi admitted, confused before handing her cell to Akaka.

Akaka soon dialed a number before she soon placed on the side of her head. The sound of something picking up on the other line as a female’s voice soon answered with a quick ‘hello?’ before Akaka gave a smile. “Hey, Minono, it’s me.”

“A-Akaka! Hey, it’s been quite a while!” ‘Minono’ said on the other line, surprised to hear Akaka’s voice. “I didn’t know you have a cell!”

“Well I’m actually burrowing a friend’s. By the way, are you free later today?” Akaka replied.

“Ugh, sorry- I’m mostly booked for the day.” The female replied, with Akaka looking disappointed. “I’m trying to get as much experience as possible. I might have some free time though at the holidays.”

“Uh, yeah…” Akaka replied. “Am I bothering you at the moment?”

“No, actually I’m on break at the moment.” The female replied on the other line. “My current clients are pretty stressed out from some recent development and the two are bickering with each other. Seriously they don’t usually fight a lot but recently they…ah it’s pretty much confidential for the clients. Anyways, sorry about that but I’m sure I can make time for you in the future- maybe next year- I might be able to meet up and maybe we can meet in January.”

“THAT later? Man, you’re booked.” Akaka replied. “Seriously, you need to take five one of these days.”

“I take some siestas every now and then- it helps me focus too.” Minono replied. “Ah, crud they’re back. Sorry Akaka, gotta go.”

“Uh, bye.” Akaka replied before the cell on the other line shuts off with Akaka doing the same. She soon gave a bit of a ticked off look before to say, “…Outta luck. She’s booked into January.”

“Awwww.” Omimi replied, sounding disappointed. “Do you have any other friends?”

“…No.” Akaka replied. “She was my only friend from the Orphanage. I occasionally called her but until April, I usually talked to her face-to face. At least we kept in touch with each other but nowadays…she’s really busy.”

“We’re seriously the only other friends you made?” the younger female admitted.

“Well there’s the Niji Platoon but I don’t know very well.” Akaka replied. “Then there’s Mekaka. That Sododo fellow I don’t really count on occasion unless you count Emma- that Ishijin is a bit of a badass.”

“I know, right?” Omimi replied. “She has this explosive temper but it’s coupled with her beautiful looks and those gems…man they’re pretty, especially in the dark!”

“I hear that mixed colors are rare on their planet.” The red tadpole replied with a smiled...before she noticed her action. “…Oh god, I felt like one of those gossipy ladies or spazzy teenagers just now.”

“You never had much of a childhood, did you?” The blue-white tadpole replied while receiving her cell back. “…Well, neither did I- I never had much friends either.”

“Yeah…the only one I know are of my age is that super modest Keronian, Jesasa, the airhead Dimama, and that botanist girl who I don’t even remember her name off the top of my head!” Akaka admitted.

“…Tentoto- her clothes resemble a pink ladybug.” Omimi said with a shy look.

“…Ooooh, right.” The apple red tadpole admitted, tapping her head. “Ladybug girl. Why not ask her then?”

“I don’t know her number!” the other female said with a beady eyed look. “The only one who would probably is know is grandpa!”

“Well let’s ask the old geezer then.” Akaka admitted. “I’d probably remember better if I get what Tentoto’s name meant.”

“…It comes from tentoumushi which means ladybug.” Omimi replied. “I remember because she told me it herself. Or…was it Atlanta*?”

*Note: ...Uh, that one is self explanatory.

“When did you even met Tentoto?” The red tadpole asked.

“Last year- around the time me and brother got mom and dad returned to duty. We met when we were reporting in one time- she looked a bit antsy though. Her superior is actually wanted her to work hard- in fact, I heard that she was recently promoted to Lance corporal, but another rumor has it that both her and her superior have some of relation to one another.” Omimi replied.

“What did I tell you about that?” the tadpole with the sun symbol admitted. “Let’s just talk to the Major!”

Akaka and Omimi soon exited their room before walking downstairs and founded the Major continuing his activity from earlier- translating scriptures as he admits to himself.
“Let’s see… ‘Energy Flux’- usually occurs in awakened students within a year or so of hard training- can occur earlier if heavy training is needed. When fluxes occur, the energy usually surfaces a secondary element the user will use in the future when they become masters. This fluxing can last between as short as a month or as long as 10 years for certain Keronians. The fluxing also can occur when an energy user experiences a great change in their lives…”

“Grandpa!” Omimi piped up with the elder noticing the two females. “We want to visit a friend- do you know where Tentoto lives?”

“…I’m afraid I’m sworn to secrecy.” The elder replied. “However, she is sighted at the Barracks often, reporting in to her current C.O.- if you wish to talk to her you’d have to find her there.”

“Thanks.” Akaka admitted.

“Hm…” The elder said as he sees the two females leave. “Now what would the two want with Tentoto and…? Well, hopefully nothing to get the colonel nervous.”

Barracks- Interior

Omimi and Akaka soon arrived into the area as they soon see Puriri conversing with Kabubu. “Hey, you two again!” Akaka said before approaching the two. “What are you guys up to?”

“Ah, nothing lassie- just talking our superior.” Kabubu replied.

“Yeah, the old guy seems to be in high spirits a bit- Ever since our mission he HAS been easier on us. I mean he’s still a bit high strung, but he seems to be in better spirits since we pulled our act together.” Puriri admitted.

“Who is your superior anyways?” Omimi asked with a look.

“Colonel Ivovo- he’s a bit of a democrat in nature but he does manage to try to find the best way to manage his assigned teams.” The spy answered. “He occasionally post threats but recently our mission on finding something from Vekuku’s operations worked out- including finding an experiment who told him about his operations.”

“Oh wow.” Akaka replied. “So how did he react?”

“Ack, he was kinda ticked that we didn’t tell him right away, but he was greatly pleased about our cooperation and infiltration, lassies.” Kabubu admitted. “He even wrote one of the scientist’s a bit of a write-off of his involvement- he didn’t know that his research was going to be used that way and added he was the one who fixed Puriri’s memory and told of that place.”

“Wow, really?” Akaka admitted with a look. “Wait, that guy was your uncle, right?” Akaka admitted.

“Aye-aye!” Puriri nodded. “Uncle Zekuku was the one who filed in the report and his involvement including us saving the experiment and helping to cancel out any hypnosis he placed on them. The Colonel isn’t a glory hog thankfully, so he managed to relay the info to the higher ups- they’re currently sending teams to search out Vekuku’s old hideout. We’re even getting the experiment to join our team…granted it was a request and we need to wait for confirmation.”

“So you guys are getting a new member then?” Omimi said with a quizzical look before turning into a smile. “That’s great! We recently had a new member added too!”

“Oooh, really?” Puriri admitted with a smile. “Is he a part of the platoon? What’s he like?”

“Um…not a platoon…more a new baby brother.” Akaka replied. “Shiroro was pregnant.”

“Wait, WHAT?” Puriri let out in surprise with Kabubu having a surprised look. She soon let out a loud ‘EEEEE!’ as she said, “You’re joking, right?! Why didn’t she tell us?!”

“Um, because she felt it should be a secret?” Omimi let out in nervousness before The spy got face to face with her with Omimi beginning to sweat.

“Is he a boy or girl? What does the baby look like? What’s his or her name? Does it look more like your mother or father? Is the baby cute?” Puriri suddenly asked.

“Damn it, now she’s acting like that!” Akaka let out. “Ugh if you stop getting close to her, I’ll tell you. Boy, grey skin with green eyes but more towards the Major’s style, Shimomo, it looks to be a blend of the two’s colors including the eye color when they are at their based state, and actually…yes.”

“Ah, sounds like the best of both worlds!” Kabubu admitted. “Is he an energy wielder?”

“No, not at all- in fact he just hatched today.” Omimi let out as the spy snapped back. “If you want to, you can stop by our home!”

“Well I’m sure they do have time at the moment.” A familiar voice said, causing the two groups to flinch as Colonel Ivovo- the grey skinned Keronian with a picklehaube helmet and copper brown eyes approached. The symbol looked to be a Military badge as he admits,
“But…who are you exactly?”

“Recently promoted Sergeant Akaka of the Winged Elemental Corps with Private Second Class Omimi of the same team.” Akaka replied while saluting. “We were just talking to Kabubu and Puriri about some…events that transpired today. We were also here to speak with Lance Corporal Tentoto.”

“…I see…” The Colonel said, surveying the two’s appearance. He looked over Akaka a bit before looking at Omimi more so. “Akaka, have you recently checked up with your doctor and your mechanic regarding your mechanical leg? It doesn’t match the ones we have on record.”

“Uh…the original leg was broken from an incident a few months ago. This replacement leg was provided by Puriri from one of her stilts her uncle made for her.” Akaka replied, reluctant to say so. “It’s a more useful model than the one I had and a lot more reliable too. I’ll let the officials know ahead of time next time.”

“I see…” The higher ranked grey soldier nodded. “You may want to see the doctor about any joint discomfort as well. You also want to may want to see him about any problems with anything that should stay within your mind and/or…any regions below the metaphorical belt.”

“Huh?!” Akaka let out in response, somewhat startled. (‘H-how the hell can he tell that I’m not a _____...?!')

“Oy- what did you mean by that, sir?” Kabubu asked in his usual manner.

“It’s nothing that you should know yet unless something comes up.” The high ranked soldier replied. “Is Omimi classified as an energy user?”

“Yes, sir!” Omimi said in attention, albeit a bit stiff. “I’m Colon- I mean Major Suhaha’s granddaughter, and a fire energy user! Sorry I goofed…”

“Ah, it’s alright. It happens when you’re uncomfortable.” Ivovo nodded. “You know, I actually am a friend to the Major- we don’t usually contact each other much, but he convinced that Fortress is worth keeping together.”

“Oh, great!” The young tadpole replied with a smile. “But, uh…can we speak with Tentoto, please? We came down here just to speak with her!”

“Oh…?” The Colonel nodded. “Well…you are his granddaughter and you are responsible enough to keep a cell phone… so I can allow this, if you can answer me this; when did you meet her and how did you figure that you can find her here?”

“Omimi met her last year when she was taking her parents to their annual review to either return to duty or remain training.” Akaka answered. “It was the recruitment building the Major was working at, prior to them recruiting the Major a few months ago. I know this because the Major told me, just as he told us that Tentoto would normally be here.”

“…Hm, alright then. I believe that’s valid and fair enough.” The Colonel acknowledged. He  soon pressed on the side of his hat before to say, “Tentoto, come to the front of the Barracks. I believe some ‘friends’ of yours are wishing to speak with you.”

“Uh, sure thing, sir!” Tentoto said on the other line.

-Serenade of the Morning Star- starts to play as it didn’t take long until Tentoto soon came out of the hall and ran towards the group.  “Omimi, Akaka, it’s you two!”

“Hi-ya!/ Hey.” Omimi and Akaka responded.

“What’s up? Did something happen?” The ladybug garbed female asked.

“We were wondering if you wanted to come with us today, with the colonel’s permission of course, to visit our home.” The blue tinted tadpole asked her friend while referencing the Major’s ally.

“Omimi became a big sister today.” Akaka said.

Tentoto looked to of gasped as she said, “Did she really?!” the others nodded as Tentoto let out an amazed, “Wow!”

“Yeah- the little bundle of joy is named Shimomo. He’s asleep at the moment but we came here to see if you can show you him!” Omimi admitted. “If it’s okay, I mean.”

“Well…I suppose that it is alright. Actually I plan to give Tentoto some time off.” Ivovo admitted. “However, if you plan on letting her sleep at your home, just note that Tentoto is bit-”

“Hey I’ll be fine!” Tentoto insisted. “You let me have an apartment on Pekopon so why not let me stay over at a friend’s home? Plus, it was the Major who gave me my power back.”

“Hm… Alright. Have fun then, Tentoto.” Ivovo insisted with the rosy pink tadpole flushing a lighter shade pink her cheeks and in agreement, nodded.

The three females soon headed out with Puriri saying to Kabubu, “I gotta tell the boss! You go ahead, Kabubu-san!”

“Nah, you go, I’ll tell Sododo.” Kabubu insisted. “Besides, I bet you’re curious too, lassie.”

“Uh, Alright then!” The spy insisted, giddy as she soon said to the other females, ‘Wait up!’

Later, on Vesperia Street (Yay for references xD)

“So what is the little guy named?” Tentoto asked as they walked down the street.

“Shimomo- he was born today- a couple of hours ago in fact.” Omimi admitted.

“Wait, isn’t newborns susceptible to infections when born? Shouldn’t he be in an a saver place to breathe?” The rosy female asked.

“Well, normally yes for Pekoponians, but for one, mother and father had me in the jungle for goodness sakes. Well, and for two this wasn’t the first time they did something like this.” Omimi replied.

“…I guess your family’s hindsight is 20/20 then?” Puriri admitted with the youngest female sighing. “I’m sure they’ll be alright- besides, he must be a real cutie.”

“Uh…I bet he is.” Tentoto replied, a bit down.

“Huh? Something wrong, Tentoto?” Omimi asked.

“I never seen a real baby before to be honest.” Tentoto admitted. “I mean a Keronian one, not a Pekoponian human baby. I sometimes wonder…’what was it like to be a mother?’ Do you have to have the strength and will to carry a new life inside of you?”

“I’d say it’s worth the effort.” Omimi answered with Tentoto looking with her eyes on Omimi. “Having the courage to accept the responsibilities of being a parent it’s a tough job, but I bet it has its own rewarding and life-enriching experience. No matter how big or small you were at the time you were born, you always have a soft spot for children you help to create.”

“But…” Akaka admitted. “Metaphorically speaking… Suppose that you end up making a baby too soon into your life? You know, when you become a teenager and mature enough to create new life. Would you do something like that? Society has a way of prejudice against you, you know. One moment, you would someone everyone looks up to and even the girls want to be like you. But one harmless little mishap…and you become up becoming the Pariah to them.”

“Um, Pariah?” Tentoto parroted. “What does that mean?”

“It means outcast- people will give death stares just for looking at you, mistreat you like an animal and even hurt you. All of that can happen because you did something completely unacceptable in a modern society.” The red female admitted. “It could be killing someone, getting yourself pregnant at a wrong time or a bad circumstance, or even just doing something drug related would net you into something bad. Some people often treat people different because they chose to marry someone because of a mistake you made.”

Tentoto flinched at the statement before looking down at herself. “So…people would treat you differently just because of one mistake you made?”

“It could be anything- like doing something wrong right or doing the right thing, only to say it was completely wrong in the end; whatever it is, it has to be severe enough to cause a shock to their systems.” Puriri replied. “In the end, conflict just…makes just a huge mess of things.”

“Oh…” Tentoto admitted. She looked to really scared as she soon twiddled her fingers and said, “Well…I’m not sure if I want to be a mother now. After hearing stuff like that, I…I feel scared. I understood why my father would go to such lengths just to keep me safe.”

“Hey, don’t be like that!” Omimi said to the pink tadpole with Akaka listening. “People can’t just suddenly stop trusting you for making a mistake whether it’s big or not! It’s people in the society who put up these standards for themselves and everyone to follow! It’s always something that causes people to make such a huge fuss over it- we all are built differently and if we don’t like it, we just need to say why! If we respected each person’s truth and ideals, then whether we deal with the change to the system is up to us; whether we respect it from what we understand or not and we do or don’t want to understand. I’d wondered if we tried different things whether or not society likes it, we’d be a truly connectable person because we’d want to say, ‘Hey, I did that thing once!’ and we can tell it from each of our experiences.”

“…” The three other girls looked to each other and looked to down to each other before Akaka asked, “That’s uh…kind of deep for you. So then…would you accept the person for whatever color, race, mentality, behavior and so on? Then why did you choose Mekaka to be your boyfriend?”

“Well…” Omimi tried to think. “I chose Mekaka just because. I knew he’s really nice, and I knew how it felt be bullied too. He was bullied because he was wearing a lot of clothes just because his mother wanted to keep him warm because of his condition. Those bullies were just mean to him because I bet he was smarter than them- maybe they were jealous because their mothers never gave them clothes. Maybe they thought he was weaker than them so he took advantage of that. I dunno, but every action has a reason behind it. But I also know Mekaka is brilliant because he can build things with his own hands and tools. I also know he’s an energy wielder of Gravity- and even he doesn’t know how to use it right away, but I bet there would be people kind enough to teach him the ins and outs about it- maybe for their own reasons. But then again, Mekaka is trying a lot of things on his own too. I also knew how it was like to spend a whole day outside in the cold- though I haven’t told why though…”

“Really?” Tentoto admitted. “Why and how did it happen?”

“One day when I was taking a bath, I remembered that I was really tired and after turning the water off, I got too comfortable and I ended up falling asleep. I remembered in my dream that I was swimming in a sea that was warmed by sunlight… until a couple of minutes later, I remembered that it started to snow. I soon woke up and founded brother dumped a bunch of Ice cubes into the bath water. I soon pretty much bolted out and founded the nearest place to try and warm up- I swore I was going to be hibernating from that. I SO wanted to get back at Omnini for doing that, so I decided to give him soda- flat orange soda. He didn’t like it all that because he liked the part of it that was fizzy.”

“…That isn’t much of a payback compared to what he did.” Puriri replied with a beady eyed comment.

“Actually that was the rest of the payback- the first bit was when I caught a cold from that trick and found that energy users create this dusty energy stuff when we sneeze.” Omimi let out. “When I sneezed, I pretty much covered brother with white dust. I usually tried to make myself sneeze every time brother tried to walk in- you could’ve sworn my room when I was living with Mr. Nagaga and Mrs. Basasa was white all the time- but it was really an aqua color.”

“Oooohoho that was totally mean…” Akaka admitted with a small giggle. “Nice payback.”

“Wait, that was energy dust? No wonder mom and dad bailed out of the room whenever I was about to sneeze…” Tentoto replied. “When I do sneeze I make pink dust and sometimes…green dust. I sometimes put that green dust in my plants, and they grow a lot better, even with a slight lack of light.”

“Huh…” The other girls went before Akaka soon asked, “Okay, so my turn- how come you wanted to be friends with me then?”

“Well, I wanted to be friends with you because I knew how it was like to never exactly know your parents or how to lose them at any time in your life. I also liked her ability to see into people’s minds- because she can always tell what they were thinking. Sure it’s scary, but it’s also cool because she can help people out if they aren’t intimidated by her.” The youngest tadpole answered. “I also knew how it felt to be scared of people. I try to hide my energy but sometimes everyone just thought I grew a second head. I also found out that I grew up with a couple of kids from the same class including a couple of energy users I unintentionally made, and even got to be friends with a couple of them. But a lot of the parents looked at me like I was a complete…oddball.” The youngest looked to of frowned from the explanation

“…” Akaka looked a bit sad a smile soon formed from this, causing the red female to pat the younger kid’s head and said, “Thank you for sharing that. I’m glad you were being honest at least.”

“Well, I knew how it was to be picked on, knew how it felt to be to be considered odd, mistreated, stuff like that. But I also knew to try to keep your head up in bad situations…or at least your hopes.” Puriri nodded.

“…Me too, although…isolation is something I doubt you guys can understand.” Tentoto replied.

“What are you talking about?” Akaka asked.

“My father didn’t want me to make friends because he was like super suspicious of everyone he meets. I heard from mother that he wasn’t like this when he was younger; in fact he was actually pretty carefree but after hearing about something… he just got super jittery and clingy to mom.” Tentoto said while looking down on herself. “He even made me wear that special stuff that changes your skin if you’re an energy user. I didn’t understand why though…”

“Wow- your dad must be like that a lot- enough to make Omnini look lazy.” Akaka replied.

“I was lucky to even go with you- if he’d be his usual self, he’d shoo you two away.” The rosy female replied. “And…I still didn’t understand why- but I guess he wanted to protect me. I usually keep to myself, I don’t much an opinion unless I say something if’t something I don’t like, and even then if it’s an argument, I try to settle things peacefully- usually in their favor. But sometimes it makes things worse and…”

“Hey don’t be like that. At least you had a father that cared that much about you…like mine.” The red tadpole replied, somber when Tentoto faced her. “…I pretty much used to push everyone away myself when I was an orphan after my father died- mostly because of the prejudice I received from all the kids and even from a couple of the adults. It took my friend Minono to open things for me a bit. And although I still do that… I try to at least give them a chance, maybe even remember their name. Minono was my first ‘true’ friend before I got to know Omimi.”

Tentoto blinked at the comment and said, “Well, uh…” She looked like she wanted to say something but shortly shook her head and admitted instead, “I got nothing. You already made the connection about your father with mine and the fact that I’m an energy wielder is something connected me with Omimi. But that’s all I could think of myself…”

“You don’t have a lot of confidence in yourself, do you?” Puriri admitted. “I wanna know how someone like you made Lance Corporal.”

“Oh, uh…to be honest, I take good amount of pride in my work.” Tentoto replied while rubbing her head. “The Colonel knew I wasn’t much of a fighter so he gave me the job being a botanist to the army. The job took me to many different places that amazed me and let me see all sort of plants. He even let me recently use my energy to see how they grow in an environment when you use energy control. In fact, it helped me to understand and control my power even more so. It even gave me the thought of being able to terra-form a planet that’s normally unable to do so anymore- like breathing new life into it.”

“Wow, that’s wonderful!” Puriri admitted with a big smile. “To be honest, I’m quite amazed by you- you’re also one to have a unique fashion sense- I mean it actually suits you.”

“T-thank you!” Tentoto said while blushing and looking wishy-washy while rubbing her own hand. “To be honest, I thought it was silly.”

“Now you just need some black gloves with those pink spots or pink with black spots and you’d really be like a ladybug.” Akaka said, although it sounded like sarcasm.

“…Um, were you being sarcastic?” Tentoto asked the female.

“Not really.” Akaka answered. “Ah, here we go- Star Street!”

Star street

The theme ends as the group soon passed down the way and soon came to the home of the winged elemental corps as they soon see Jesasa and Dimama walking down the way as well. “Huh? It’s those two again?”

Dimama soon perked up and turned her head before noticing Omimi wave at them as Dmama cried, “Hello~!”

“Oh!” Jesasa let out when she sees the four approach them. “Hello again!”

“Jesasa and Dimama! What are you two doing here?” Omimi asked the two.

“Ah, well we were going to see how Vanini was doing, that’s all. I heard he was involved in something.” Dimama responded. “He was involved in taking down a criminal!”

“…Really?” Tentoto parroted in confusion.

“Oh, of course! A guy named Entoto caused trouble and Vanini chased him down- for some reason though he doesn’t use his nickname though.” Jesasa nodded.

“What is his name if I may ask though?” The Lance corporal asked.

“Oh, Masasa- Private First Class Masasa.” Omimi answered. However, the name instantly spurred a reaction out of Tentoto as he blue eyes lost its shine in an instant as if shocked. Omimi soon noticed and asked, “Um, are you alright?”

Tentoto regained a bit of her attention and the shine to her eyes before she said a stammered, “Uh, nothing! Just…having a moment of blankout.”

“Alright then.” Akaka said before leading the now 5 ladies towards Omimi’s home. They soon stopped by the front door as Omimi opened the door and walked inside.
“Hey, uh, mom? We got guests? 4 of them!” Omimi called out.

“Ah, is that so?” Shiroro said as she came down the stairs. “Did Omimi spread the news to girls she knows?”

“What news?” Dimama admitted confused. “Me and Jessie were just here to see Masasa!”

“Yes, we’re here to speak with Vanini.” Jesasa replied. “But what news though?”

“Omimi has a younger brother- born today in fact.” Akaka admitted. However it took only a moment for Akaka and Shiroro to guard the way for Dimama who was trying to squirm by as she chattered ‘lemmeseelemmeseelemmesee!!’ Akaka tried to hold the girl back as she admitted, “Down girl! Besides, we don’t even know if he’s awake yet!”

However, a small hiccupping cry became a bit louder before Omimi let out, ‘Now you done it!’ the mother soon headed upstairs with Dimama a close second behind before the rest of the girls followed up. Shimomo was heard crying in the room before Shiroro managed to swing into the room before to pick up the infant and tried to calm him down. “There, there, take it easy…”

“Is that him?” Dimama said as she peered from the door with the other girls the same.
“Can I see the little guy?”

“Okay, just don’t do anything to startle him.” The mother admitted as the ice blue Keronian soon advanced slowly before giving a casual ‘hello little guy!’

Shimomo gave a look to Dimama with the baby’s eyes closed a bit before it opened a bit and seeing Dimama who gave a cheerful look. The baby stared at the girl before she took a bit of a breath to inflate her cheeks a bit. The baby gave a bit of a confused look before she soon exhaled before sticking her tongue out and making a goofy face before she a good reaction- the baby actually smiled at it before giving a couple of giggles.

Shiroro gave an impressed look before Dimama replied, “I may be an airhead, but I’m great with kids- including babies!”

“It’s true!” Jesasa said with a smile as she walked out from the side before walking up to the baby with Dimama backing off. “Aren’t you a little cutie?”

Shimomo looked nervous who looked around with his eyes as if he heard strange voice before Jesasa noticed what was wrong and removed her mask. Shimomo gave a shocked look before he gave a happy giggle. “…Put that mask back on. He thinks you’re playing peek-a-boo!” Akaka suggested. Jesasa did as instructed before Shimomo looked shocked before he soon looked around- with Shiroro helping him before Jesasa removed with the baby noticing it and gives a bit of a giggle in response.

“Can I see him?” Tentoto asked politely before walking in with Jesasa stepping back before carefully receiving the baby. “H…hello. I’m Tentoto. Nice to meet you.”

The baby soon stared at Tentoto before he soon started to giggle as he looked to give a cheerful look. Tentoto looked to give a happy look of her own as she soon tried to cradle the baby a bit before Shiroro admitted, “Take it easy now, Tentoto. He’s a bit on the gentle side.”

Tentoto gave a bit of a curious look to the infant again before she soon handed him back to his mother gently. Puriri soon founded her way to them as she admitted, “So he’s named Shimomo?”

“Yes- Omnini was the one who suggested the name. It’s technically a unisex name and even used by humans.” Shiroro replied.

“Let’s see…” Puriri said before looking over the baby who was trying to track her with his eyes. “Grey skin…green eyes, he is indeed male, and looks like he’s being entertained by our shenanigans.”

The baby looked to give a giggle before Omimi admitted, “You hear that Shimomo? You’re a little popular baby with the ladies!”

“D-don’t say it like that!” Tentoto and Jesasa flinched.

“Alright, I’m going to feed the little tyke now. You all leave for now, alright?” Shiroro suggested.

“Okay!” Dimama said in response before they followed Omimi the room outside.

“Well, how about going into my room for now?” The youngest female of the six suggested.

“What’s there to talk about?” Akaka commented with a look as they soon came by.

“Um, if it’s alright with you, may I use your restroom?” Tentoto insisted.

“Go ahead! Just…find something to block the view though.” Omimi admitted while pointing to the door behind her to her right with the pink tadpole giving a confused ‘uh?’ in response. “The rest room is just right here. Once you’re done, my room is last one to the right! Or…should I say mine and Akaka’s room?”

The five females soon entered the room Omimi mentioned before Tentoto soon knocked on the door. There was no response so the lance corporal gently opened the door before she entered the room as the theme ended.

It wasn’t long until Masasa soon stepped outside of his room before he stopped at the Washroom before he knocked on the door. “Uh, occupied!” Tentoto replied from the other side.

“Huh? You’re not one of the usual bunch, are you?” Masasa said…before trying to look into the door’s keyhole. However, it’s obvious that the way was blocked by something black as the sound of rushing water from a toilet was heard. “Huh.”

However, it didn’t last long until the thing blocking it- Tentoto’s hat- was moved after hearing the sound of some rushing water from the sink before it stopped shortly. The door opened with Tentoto adjusting her hat as she gave a startled look. “Oops! Er, were you waiting?” the female asked.

“Nah, not really.” Masasa replied. “Who are you though?”

“Uh, Tentoto- Lance Corporal Tentoto.” Tentoto said while looking nervous. “Who are you though?”

“Private First Class Masasa.” Masasa answered. However, the reaction was almost instant as Tentoto flinched. “Uh…what?”

“You’re…you’re the one.” Tentoto let out. “The one he was looking for…”

“What, am I some chosen one or something?” The male said replied. “You don’t exactly look like the kind who sees prophecies.”

“…You were the one who ran from Fortress.” Tentoto said, sounding scared, with the male giving an intrigued look.

“…How do you know that?” The black and red tadpole said, with an imaginary eyebrow raised as –just wondering- starts to play.

“Don’t you realize how much trouble you’re in?” The female said in a whisper. “How much trouble you’re going to bring to this platoon if the army finds out about where you are?”
Masasa soon understood what she meant and muttered, “Don’t remind me about something I know. I know that and yet they were willing to defend me. But if they find out just how much trouble I was in, I have a feeling that what you said might be right.”

“You…and they…?” Tentoto let out in confusion. “Why though?”

“To be honest…I don’t know yet- but I’ll find out sometime. I might be caught today or tomorrow; but until then, I’ll keep living this life.” The male said as he walked to his room. “I’ll face the music with them when the time comes.”

“…But what about anyone you’re dating? Don’t you know how much it would affect them too?” Tentoto asked, causing the male to freeze. “Do they even know about what you did? It could affect their standing in society as well… at least, that’s what I think.”

“…” Masasa looked to of realized what that meant with his face a bit pale upon noticing this connection. The thought of people picking on Jesasa because of just being with him sort of made his blood run cold a bit. He gave a low growl soon looked to of clenched his fist before he walked forward before he closed the door to his and Omnini’s room behind him, albeit a bit loudly. Tentoto looked worried before to sigh. The door soon opened with Masasa soon saying in a low voice, “Then I’ll deny any connection with her…just to protect her from this humiliation.”

“!” The female noticed Masasa looking a bit grim before she said with a quick, “You’re sure?”

“…Although, I might not have the courage to show my face around her once this is over…” The male replied… before his eyes briefly turned yellow, “I’ll do what it takes to protect her. I’ll even break up with her if it gets to that point.”

“…Alright.” Tentoto answered.

Masasa closed the door before he founded a padded section of wall only to slam his fist into it out of frustration muttering ‘Damn it!’ under his breath. Meanwhile, Tentoto looked to be ashamed of herself at what she did before she brought out a phone of her own and started texting someone. However…

She was watched by a familiar individual as Puriri watched from inside of the room as she soon gave a bit of a quiet look at what she heard as the theme ended.
