Description
Well i finally finished the Leopard. This leopard will be the first of a series of drawings that i will be making of big cats. My next one will be either a jaguar, lion or tiger. But before i can start on that one i gotta finish a couple commissions that i have. Well this one is 11x14 done with pencil on vellum bristol paper. Its elegance and beauty is what caught my attention. The sense is peace but also the sense its ready to pounce when its necessary. Well thank you all that followed my progress.Related content

Holy duck feathers, that looks so stunning. It's so beautiful and sharp, very rich with details and very very clean! The eyes look so piercing and the fur has been done absolutley well! I'm at a loss for words...

I'm terribly impressed that it was done using grids and still you maintain a very good contrast. It's very much different from my school of thought, where we concentrate first on laying down the large areas of shadows to get good contrast and maintain fairly accurate proportions.
Well done!

Yes like i mentioned, doing this way guarantees that i put the time and attention that the drawing needs. If i draw the whole thing at once, i tend to rush it and lose some of the detail that im trying to capture. This way seems to work for me. Thank you.
