Description
The faint murmur has him pausing slightly, and he's simply watching those hidden eyes and that purely serene expression, knowing that he's fallen still and he gently guides his fingertips back into that simple movement once more. The words stir that little sensation in him, the one that gives him that little jolt every so often, but this time...it's...different...softer this time.

Perhaps it's the fact that someone truly appreciated his company enough to tell him, or the fact it's the hedgehog that's told him, or that he could never stand to hear those words from anyone else...and that alone sends such an ache through him that it almost hurts with its honesty.

He opens his mouth to reply, but the words catch, and for a moment, he's caught between saying them, and simply falling silent once more, knowing what the implications would be. Closing his eyes briefly, all he can do is just...give into the feeling, and dammit, he's saying something before he can even think of stopping himself.

"...why would I want to be anywhere else..?" he breathes, swallowing lightly, because that little ache has just shot to his throat, and ohgods, something in him just twists.
