Description
90s kids are pretty easy to generalize. I'm only referring to those who constantly praise the 90s and treat their childhood like it matters more than anything in the entire world. Focus on what happens today, and leave your past behind.Related content

Those bratty 90s kids are the reason I'm glad I was born in 2002.

I was born in '02, too. I grew up on some music from the 90's mostly because they played a lot of rock from that time on the radio channel I listened to when I lived in S.C., but I find myself liking what all eras (80's-current day) have offered us

Same. I did watch some 90s shows on reruns.

The idea of my peers being able to vote, hold office, and make laws scares the carp out of me.
Born '89, grew up and loved the 90's, but most of my favorite cartoons/shows are from the 80's. Too many artists started not caring or thinking that very crude humor was the height of hilarity or getting screwed by their publishers/networks.Β

Even though I like the stuff from the 1990s, I realize that the 1990s had it's faults also

You know what I especially "love" about 90's kids.
"Kidz 2day dunt no gewd shows!!!11!!1 Β Dey dident watch da good ol' shows!!!111!!"
*Kid from the 2000-2010 era claims to of watched 90's shows*
"Bawww!!!!1!!! Β UR LYING!!!11!!!"
I mean, what the hell? Β They keep whining about how kids today don't know good TV, and when a kid DOES watch a show from their precious 90's, they still moan about it? Β

Maybe because the 2000s were so disappointing (not totally; Avatar came out of it, as did some underrated classics like My Life as a Teenage Robot). But the 2010s are doing much, much better. And the '90s wasn't perfect (I always hated Cow & Chicken, CatDog, and Rocket Power, and am shocked that all three actually have genuine fans. But, to each his own, and all that).

Tmnt (2003) were pretty good. Batman Beyond, Justice League and Clone Wars were probably good as well. All from 2000s.

I meant, in general, it was disappointing. As I said in my comment (and you added other examples), the 2000s wasn't a total loss when it came to animation.

Agreed! Also, if you miss your childhood that much, buy the goddamn DVDs and Merch, sit down, watch them, draw decentΒ fanart for it (aka non shitty non IΒ WANT THIS BACK or OMG TODAYS SHOWS SUX crap)Β and shut up instead of crying on DA and Tumblr how horrible everything is now.

It's not 'retarded' to bring the past to the now though. That's why we have genres, cultures, etc, etc. It's pretty unnatural for people to not embrace what they grew up with.
Example: 3D platformers is something I grew up with, I would love that genre to be revived, good thing there are people helping.

But to obsess over it days on end isn't too good. That's all I'm saying. If's fine if you like something from the 90s, but don't let it dominate your life

wwwarea In reply to Channeleven [2015-02-18 10:45:49 +0000 UTC]
Well, when people grow up, the stuff they grew up with is actually part of them, it describes who they are. Whatever you grew up with is kind of part of you..
That's why there are so many different expressions, because apparently it's part of them. The elements that you got as a child is part of you.
So you can't exactly get rid of it, or you mean how they act with it?:
Or are you talking about 'rabid nostalgia' fans that go in and make 'everything' the 90s, 80s, etc? Or bash works just because it's not there kind of 90s thing? Including those who keep repeating there 90s feel without bringing it with them naturally? If so, then haha, not surprised. xD
Eh, it's kind of hard to understand, like what counts as 'nostalgia' or not, then again, it's just another personality thing I guess.

It's okay to praise something from a long gone time, so long as you keep an open mind, it's no problem.
