The Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader, has perished alongside his Sith Master, Darth Sidious, aboard the Second Death Star. As chaos plunges the Galactic Empire into warlordism and civil war, Fortress Vader suffers the effects of this traumatic event.

The garrison have pretty much abandoned their post, leaving the Sith Acolyte Vanee alone in the castle while the latter begins to crumble since without Vader's power to maintains it's source, the dark side begins to dissipates and thus the castle slowly begins the decline which would eventually leave nothing but ruins by the time of the First Order/Resistance War.
