Rough sketch of what I'm currently working on, It's going to be a stained glass window/s (I'm not sure on that point yet), based on the Dr. Who episode 'Blink' which is one of my personal favorites.Related content

This looks like a great thumb (thumbnail)! Wonderful symmetry, and the color choice you're going to use will work out nicely. Especially with the blue and the gold, the two colors being almost straight opposites on the color wheel (since gold isn't quite orange, but not quite yellow) as well as being opposite in regards to value.
As for the stained glass, go to Corbis.com and set up a free account if you want to find some references for the stained glass. Otherwise, I'd head for google.
