Okay, so both my friend and I write on Fanfiction, and a while ago, she was planning on writing a series of stories called The Glass Chronicles. During her stories, she has an army, and, being the artist that I am, I offered to draw her a knight.

I regretted it immediately. Everyone thinks they know what a knight looks like- and you do, until you have to draw DETAILS. Details killed me. I used Google to figure out what the top of the helmet looked like.

Originally the shield was going to have a symbol, but she stopped writing the story, and so she never created a symbol.
