Edit: I no longer play this game, I haven't for a long while so I apologize to all of you who wanted to add me.
Edit 4-21-12: I have colored Chaos to her most recent design, that's why the lines look thicker on her.
Honestly... Lions and wolves dominate the RPing world here. Rare acceptions to any other species or appearances. There are also the rare dragon and horse and etc. RPs, but those also have air-tight rules that allow little leeway for a lot of players.
=_=; Vise versa as well with the wolf and lion. Both species are just as guilty.
... People pay way too much attention to appearance on this game rather than actual RP skill. Sure, customizing and showing your characters is a big part of the game, but you know what else is? ROLEPLAYING. -_- People seem to forget that sometimes. (...Or all of the time.)
This goes back to another discussion of mine, which I will not delve too deeply into, but it stated that character appearance does not represent a person's intelligence.
I have Chaos, an unnaturally colored feline, but I've been unaccepted many times due to those unnatural colors. Either unaccepted, or I can't find an RP completely.
Also... even if I did get into a role-play, the chat box is so inconvenient that I think it would be near impossible to RP very efficiently. It's small, it's crowded, even if you do set it to just "group" or another certain type of chat. So maybe this game, to an extent, is pretty unplayable. Not trying to be rude... just pointing out some glaring issues.
Edit 2: Another point brought up! Now, I was already aware of the "rapists" and "mate beggars" before drawing this, but, as disgusted as I am of those, I decided not to add them in this piece. I do not prefer to draw anything with the subject of sexuality.
I won't really dig into them, since this is not the point of this discussion... but I will say that they are a risk of downloading this game. There aren't many filters or admins to weed them out of the game so... as inappropriate and annoying as they are, I'm afraid they are just another part of the game that counts as a downfall.

I find it rather depressing that FH has came to this. The staff does have control of registration and lied to everyone. Kovu left the game behind to rot, I mean the staff aren't evil they are only trying to help. And I know some misuse the power of being a admin.

I don't play feralheart any more because it was a giant waste of time! The problem is that you need time for these rps (first of all not everyone is in the same time zone). Those who do have time are young kids with no rp skill, teens and adults (Who have good rping skills) actually have a life and are working hard at school so they don't have time to spend 2 hours rping. Another thing besides the problem of the time zone is that no one sticks to the group! I am 15 and I once tried to create a Street dog rp complete with a map and a website. I got off on a pretty good start but a lot of people in my group were my age and like me found out that we didn't have time for it. The rp died and I don't plan to play FH again. Unless there's a super mega awsome update. Hey do you know if Arokai has been abandoned or not? Same creators from Feralheart were suppost to be working on it, started production in 2009, 2 character designers were released but that's it. There are rumors that the game has been abandoned but I don't know much. It was looking pretty cool with better graphics, better character design; all they had left was to make a huge map they were talking about and the character animations.Β

This is so true. Speaks perfection about how FeralHeart is... The game is basically dead now.
And, no offense to any of the staff, but they didn't really... erm... do their job. (Okay, I guess that IS offensive e.e)
But still, I remember hearing that a staff member banned someone for advertising another 3d game on FeralHeart (maybe it wasn't theirs) but when I helped someone to report a person WITH PROOF who was whispering sexual things to them, did the staff do anything? No. :I
It seems they don't always deal with the extremes but the less than importants.

I can so relate to this. I got banned for 370 days for god knows what, I PMedΒ the almighty Red the admin,Β and they never replied. Guess they think that they are all high and mighty and can do whatever I suppose. But I didn't intend to stay on the game much longer, I got sick and tired of roleplaying as a wild cat out in the forest, scavenging for food and killing like a savage, and/or joining a pack/pride, and then it goes dead. So yeah, I agree with you. They deal with minor problems, instead of major problems, as you said.

Mhm. I ended up speaking to Red once and he says the thing about the banning for advertising is a rumor, unless one of the lower ranking staff members got away with it.
Even so, they often seem to somehow 'miss' the crap that goes on behind the scenes (or cliff/hill in this case)Β
I know it's one person, and it's Kovu's fault for not giving out the source code so they can edit the game and maybe make their mod powers more useful, but still... Also, if someone gives you information with good evidence you should look into it. Perhaps the person we reported was banned, yet he still had his name in the person's friends list, and unless the staff responded saying 'we've taken care of it, thank you' no one can be sure if its them being lazy, or they simply don't talk about who they ban even to the victims.

Nowadays groups only allow 'realistic and literate' looking characters. I got on my 2011 character, Starry, and people began yelling 'BLUE WOLF! AN ILLITERATE!', 'Ewww get away illiterate! You're pelt is blue!' And I wasn't THAT blue, I was silvery-gray-blue. As for illiterate...that happens to everyone.

I feel you. I made a reddish wolf with black feet and people freaked. Not cause of the color. Nope. Cause of the little grey spiral markings coming up from the feet. Neon colors look too bright, so toning it down is a good idea, but COME ON PEOPLE.

Combat wise, it's WORSE on AJ. Now, what happens is, I like to think of myself as a decent roleplayer. I have a fair clan, it's great. But, i'll attack people, just saying something like... ''Dashes torward the white tom, giving a quick scratch to his muzzle.'' If they say miss once or twice, i'm fine, but if it's all the time... eehhh. I always let people hit me, maybe i'll miss once or twice, and then... '' EERHHH I SAID NN IT DOSNT COUNT! '' ''I SAID NN AND U SAID I MISSED SO UR POWRPLAYING!''Β
