Description No, it's not another fan art for , at least not exactly. I mean, yes, it is somewhere, I simply love his art style, but this wasn't directly intentionally.

While still in the "process" of shading "Mephit Paint Job 2006", I agreed to do a trade with , and this is what I came up with for what he requested.

What he requested? I suggested I wanted to draw Banzai again, after a long while. After a few ideas that backfired, he requested that I draw what Banzai would be like in the realm of Las Lindas.

Now this was interesting. In my envisioned reality, she was a highly skilled, but naïve swordswoman, so it was tempting to display her as one of the Crests. But somehow I found it inappropriate, as I don't envision her a "superbeing", even though I realize Chalosan would neither envision his Crests to be "superbeings".

So the idea came to display her either as a eccentric restaurant chef skillfully chopping vegetables into bits, or as a sort of Ray Mears survivalist. The picture shows I obviously chose for the latter.

As you can see, Banzai is just caught off guard taking a hiking nap by a creature she's not seen before so huge... And off balance too.

This will be shaded in due time, as time allows me <.< >.>

Thad, I hope you like it, drop me a line and tell me what you think of it. Chalosan, I did not intend this to seem like obsessive fan art, at least I hope you like it too!

Geecku (and parrot too, I might add) (c) Chalosan

P.S.: Somebody tell me, should this be tagged as mature content?

This is one of the reasons, I've chosen you as one of my anatomy mentors (and favored artist) :

Your work on the characters is rock-solid, given the choise of style. You manage to portray the emotion and feeling with subtle expressions, something which is grocely overdone by a lot of people (ofttimes myself included).

The amount of juicy detail, you poured into this piece gives it this real illustration-feel, as if it was a cover for a comic - that coheres quite nice with the theme chosen, if I should say so myself.
