超電磁マシーンボルテスＶ or Choudenji Machine Voltes V ( Five ) is a Japanese anime which first aired on TV Asahi on June 4 1977. This is my tribute art of a long and dear anime of my childhood and teens back in the Philippines. If you go and watch all the end credits you'll see this image of the characters at the very end gazing at the sunset, not worrying a thing because if trouble or a storm of enemy arises, Voltes V will back them up and save the day! This image has always been stuck in my mind since and after graduating college, drawing/comic school, working at a animation studio and everything I decided to give it a go and added Tako, the octopus robot as a bonus to the image.
