Description Warm, dry skin
Like fresh laundry from the dryer-
I nuzzle my cheek against your shoulder-
Press my nose to your skin.
Breathe in your every-day-delicious-scent.
Laughter,
In a thick, heavy bubble rises from your belly,
Rumbles through your chest so heavily
That I feel it in my cheekbone, where it rests against your skin.
I glance up, through heavy eyelashes, thick with mascara,
To watch that bubble rise, rise, rise and slip through your lips.
An explosion of life,
Love and warmth.
You glance down at me, your once dark, empty eyes
Bright with laughter and amusement.
I blush, that sweet, barely there rose that you seem to enjoy so much.
You smirk, almond eyes crinkling up in the corners-
And in my mind,
I take a snapshot of this moment.
Your lips barely curve, but your eyes are so bright,
Your skin so warm and full of life,
The wrinkles by your eyes stand out,
And in them, I delight.
You are wise in ways I am not,
Say your eyes and hands and wrinkles as you caress the curve of my waist.
You know things I am still experiencing to this day,
And you delight in teaching me your wicked ways.
