my favorite cartoon ever. awesome rendition of him. i like the decorative work on the sheath, nice touch there. would've been cool to add his family crest somewhere.

yeah, i need to redo this dude. love some jack, i think hes tool skinny in this one, tho i dont know how to translate his mass in a more realistic style, so that part i failed. it was also a very small scan.

hmmm u could try looking at toshiro mifune movie's maybe? i think if u worked with how his physique looked u could find a way to make ur jack look a little bigger. watch like yojimbo or sanjuro or something.. maybe samurai 1,2, and 3 also.

The line work, grace of the pose, and nuance in the hands and feet reminds me of Blade of the Immortal...without any of that pesky cross hatching.
