I like the idea of hearts on the character! Though, once you start getting to the higher numbers (max is 20) it may look strange. I might be thinking about it too much though.

Mechanical and Link, make an awesome fusion together. But it does bring out the more primal side out from Link, this seems like Link is now a cyborg-ish character. Still the same Link, but if only his language improved and not the armor to much.
