Description
It was so dark. I could barelymake my way in its invisible
transparency. Everything black
glowed. And then it came: the
stabbing light. It wrenched me
open and through my chest began
to pull my insides. The deepest
darkest secrets sizzled in its
bright heat. It slit me open
further, and I poured from my
wound. Weakness brought my legs
to a tremble, giving way, and I
was suspended against nothing,
forced back by light. I oozed
like something being purged and
I burned as black filth ignited
from inside me. I could not
scream or whisper one sound. My
eyes seared till I saw white
nothing. All feeling of pain
mounted to no feeling at all. I
could just wait for what was next
to come, but that was nothing.
Collapsing to the floor I was empty.
My eyes fluttered involuntarily
and I lost the image. Scrunching
their lids tightly closed I
tried to bring it back but all
that was left was a barely there
mold I had cast of it, gray and
lacking anything of worth.
In opening my eyes in defeat
I lost the importance.
