Description
Happy Friday the 13th everyone; good luck to those who need it most. This comic panel shows my OCs displaying a paranormal twist of a typical trope: the sibling seniority squabble commonly heard among twins.
Having aged up thirteen years and counting, Joey Wren believes he finally has the upper hand in telling his deceased twin sister what to do, but Jenny... in a playful manner, of course... constantly reminds him that the whole being dead thing would never change the fact that she's forever older then him by thirteen minutes, even if being a ghost stops her from physically aging so she'd never look the part. However you slice it, in the eyes of Halia Akamai (Joey's formerly Hawaiian girlfriend who is also a shaman by blood), both of the Wren twins are acting like children, which has it's charm at times but can also be very distracting, as the two of them having their usual argument kept her from noticing she bought Omega Mart Lemons instead of regular lemons by mistake during a recent grocery run for ingredients to make thirteen spice skillet chicken... her family's traditional meal for Friday the 13th. (Here's hoping that the twin's exposure to meals from the Ghost World built the twins' immunity to "Additive S", as they'll be expected to give an honest review of Halia's cooking, and they don't need a joy-booster to tell that her cooking, especially with this dish, is amazing.)
*Minor case of "writers don't do math": Joey was actually "thirteen years older" than Jenny's permanently seven-year-old form as of August 2020, but then again he was held back a grade, so it'll make sense he'd be bad at math himself and thus stick with the number thirteen for at least three extra years, and Jenny wouldn't correct him on account she'll always be older by thirteen minutes. Plus, it emphasizes Halia's statement on it being an "old argument".
