Sometimes I speak
Before I think
And hurt the ones I love

From the depths of my soul
All the things I'm dreaming of

Sometimes I need
Someone to listen
To the music in my mind

Sometimes I feel
The love of a friend
Like a warm ray of sunshine

Sometimes I wish
I could be
Better than I am today

Sometimes I feel
Inspired by
The words I hear you say

Sometimes I dream
Of all the things
I wish for those I love

Sometimes I try
To be those things
With guidance from above

Sometimes I forget
To lay aside
