yeah, I can't remember what they're called, but I got this one at the imaginarium years ago. Some the water is missing and it screws up from old age, so I decided to make a pixel one so it could live on forever.
If you have any suggestions I'll be glad to hear them, I'm trying to improve upon my pixel art. Well, I'm off.

i had three of these when i grew up. mostly because i broke em open to see what the goop was made up of. my last oen was lost to the gremlins. alas poor whatchamacallit... i shall miss theeeee. fav, damn skippy.

Haha, these things are really funny, I used to stare at one of them for hours... The animation of the drops falling is just perfect, I don't think it needs major improvements; except that after a drop gets behind the central pillar and it appears on the other side, it seems that it pops up from nowhere. Isn't there some way to make that part of the animation smoother?
Besides, the rest is really good. Curves like this spiral are not easy to make in pixels. The gradients on the main cylinder look impressive, the dithering is extremely smooth.
I'd really like to see it with a background, though. Perhaps just transparent.
