Description

The leg braces took some getting used to, but soon Marin felt confident enough to leave their staff with Chantilly and try their hand (or foot, rather) at some figure skating. Turns out, they say, it's not so terribly different from swimming in the sea. Rokusho can confirm this - whether the water is frozen or not, he can't seem to stop himself from sinking!

It's time for the first event of the 2020 Chimereons Winter Sports Festival!
For this two-week block, the event will be Figure Skating!

Rules for this Event
• This Figure Skating event will stop accepting submissions on May 5th at 11:59PM EST.
• Please only submit entries if you have signed up for the event. If you still want to sign up, see the link at the bottom of this description!

• Art pieces must at least have clean-ish lines. Color is optional, but earns more points. Writing must have a minimum of 1000 words. See below for point values.

• Keep things fun; while cartoonish sports-related violence is fine, please don't draw anyone getting gravely injured.

• You can draw Chimereons from your own team, or from the opposing team; it's up to you!
• If you don't own a Chimereon, have an account 5+ months old, and still want to participate, see this journal for a link to some lists of available chams to draw!
• As always, please include in the description links to the masterlist entries of the Chimereons you feature in your entries.

How To Earn Points
As with all of the sport events, there are a few things you can include in your entry that will earn points for your team.

These things are all optional, and are kept somewhat vague on purpose to allow as much creativity as possible.

There are also some bonus point items that you can include in your entry that will earn even more points.
Points are just a way for us to keep track of which team is winning!

If you're doing an art piece, here are some ways you can earn points for your team:
Base Points - Art
• Default +5

• Color +5

• Scenic Background +5

• Additional Chimereons +1 your own, +5 someone else’s (Maximum of 5)

• Team Spirit (flags, banners, etc) +5

• "Sportsmanship" +5

Bonus Points - Art
• Costumes +5

• Strike a Pose +1

• Audience +1

• Pair Performance +5

If you're doing a written piece, here are some ways you can earn points for your team:
Base Points - Written
• Default 1000 words +5

• 1250 words +5

• 1500 words +5

• Additional Chimereons +1 your own, +5 someone else’s (Maximum of 5)

• Team Spirit (mention of flags, banners, cheers, etc) +5

• Sportsmanship +5

Bonus Points - Written
• Description of Costume +5

• Description of striking a pose +1

• Audience Reaction to performance +1

• Mention of a pair performance +5

*When we write "maximum of 5," you're allowed to include more Chimereons, but only up to 5 will earn extra points.

Prizes As with every main event, the following prizes will be given for a completed entry:

- 2 Oz Rolls (results in a random prize: Beetoles, or Chantilly Vouchers, or a Common MYO Slot)
- 3 Raffle Tickets (which will automatically be entered into the raffle at the end of the whole event)
- 5 Beetoles
- If you complete all of the Base Points opportunities, you get 10 Beetoles
- If you complete all of the Bonus Points opportunities, you get 15 Beetoles
