Description [EDIT 12/01/2020]

This effect now contains an English translated version of ikeno's readme! Please read it for instructions on using this effect

[EDIT 09/01/2020]

I changed the preview file as I've been getting a lot of hate about how Rin's skin looks here, publicly and privately. Next time, before you start sending personal attacks to my DMs, consider 1. why you are getting so angry over an MMD effect and 2. why you have to present feedback in the form of bullying.

[EDIT 08/01/2020]

1. Please read the description before you comment on the effect not looking good on skin! This effect is not made for skin, it is for glossy surfaces!! Also, please give critical feedback if you think this effect can be improved, don't just leave it as 'it looks bad', this doesn't help me
2. Thank you DeviantART for putting this on the front page! This has never happened before, I feel so accomplished

Hey y'all I made an effect that isn't just a recolour holy hell

I'm super proud of this, it took a lot of time and editing to get it absolutely perfect but I'm really happy with how it turned out

This effect creates a very shiny and glossy appearance on a model. In this example, the shader has been applied all over the model, however I would recommend using this effect either alongside .spas or .sphs to create a stronger shiny effect, or to use it as a replacement for .spas, similar to NCHL2. It suits the model's sleeves and clothes very well, and to some extent her hair (if you like shiny hair) however I would not recommend using it on skin, as it is more suited to glossy materials.

It works very nicely on transparent clothing, as you can see here!

This version of the effect does remove the natural shadows from the model, as you can see Rin looks very pale in the first image compared to the second. I am planning more versions of this effect in the future, so for now please use effects such as SSAO and abSSAO to replace shadows. This is another reason why this effect is best used on shiny surfaces, because not as much shadows are cast on these surfaces.

This was an edit of Ikeno's Rhinestone Shader which you can find along with their other amazing ik effects, please check out the original effect because I've never seen anyone use it before and it needs more recognition!

Please read both mine and Ikeno's readme, as they both give tips on how to make the most of this effect
