Description I'm doing a series on creating vector effects in Adobe Illustrator which can be done instead of using rasterizing filters and effects.

The vector gallery on dA requires your work to be 100% vector and some effects and filters in Illustrator add raster elements to it and would make it void from the vector gallery.

To start the 3 main effects I'm going to show you, you will need to master this trick and it's to convert several paths into one shape.

This is the starting point to all 3 tutorials/effects I'm going to show you. Play around in AI with one of your vectors to do this effect until you feel comfortable with it. Then we can move on to the next tutorial.

Once I've done them all, I'll add the links into this deviation

As always, if you've got any questions to do with this, please do not hesitate to ask me - I'm more than happy to help

The vector element featured in this tutorial is from the vector Hope Tomorrow .
